Question about fixing a dead mod.

I believe you have to reach out to the Original Author for permission even if it is "dead" and not touched in some time. A simple response from the Author is the right thing. Also, check the mod to see if it allows for corrections or fixes if the Author allowed that you may be able to upload the fix.

As far as I know...

If you don't mind suggestions on other mods to do, could you possibly make an update for the Clan Control Mod? It hasn't been updated since April, and if I'm reading the "Final Note" in the description correctly, the original author has no interest in updating it further (but they have no problems with someone else making an update themselves).

Thanks for the idea, I never used that one personally.

I don't think there is a shortage off mods people would like to have picked up again. If I so choose to add to Dismemberment the "free time" that would eat alone up may be more than I would be willing to devote to further modding.

I am not saying its out of the question but I don't think at his time I am going to be rushing out looking for a new project.
