All right fellow forum denizens...

Here, finally, is something that every one should have an opinion about. The election is getting closer...let's get dirty.

I'll reserve my comments for the moment in order to allow debate to begin from a clean slate.

Michael Moore is a damn fine filmmaker and a very good speaker. I think he films a lot and chooses what to put, like all filmmakers do… anything that supports his point

I love his work and will follow him every step of the way, but I am afraid be is beginning to turn into a paranoid Zealot.

Largo, we have an edit button for a reason. Use it or have your posts deleted.

As for the film, it's propaganda. I don't care about half true propaganda from either side.

Well, Moore definately uses what's out there and twists it around a bit so that it proves his point. However, nothing he said in his film is untrue. We need people like Moore in this country to keep everyone on their toes, like him or not, what he says in his films is true. I get really irritated when I hear people compairing him to Ann Coulter... she's absolutely insane! http://www.anticoulter.com

A few things are just slanderous lies....but as long as it takes votes from Bush I don't care. That guy can't be allowed back into office.

You got a reason, punk? ^_^

Seriously, I don't understand why people hate Bush. And I think the US should pretend it's a different country and cut Moore's hands off. :innocent:

Hmmm... why hate bush? Lets see here: Well first of all he turned what could potentially have been a great help to our international relations (9-11) and effectively turned every country against us again. We had the support of almost every country and their sympathies and yet Bush's actions were so insane that almost every country that we had on our side turned their backs on us. Before you start shouting about how france is a bunch of cowards and traitors to the US I would like to point out that we wouldn't have supported THEM if they were going to attack say, cuba: a country that poses no threat to France. That alone should be enough to kick him out on his rear end.

Almost as bad is what he did in Afganistan. He attacked a country that had almost no infastructure to begin with, blew up anything he could find, dind't actually catch the guys he went in to get, only accomplished putting up a puppet governement whose power is so minimal that warlords now run the country and then left the country to rot without any significant military support. How did he get away with that? He switched targets to Iraq so fast and built them up to be such a huge threat that we all forgot about afganistan. Do you know how many civilians died in afganistan due to the US's attacks and the fact that Bush ordered aid to be cut to the country? MILLIONS.

Bush has proven time and time again that he is a man with an agenda, globalization. He is so far in the pockets of Multi-national companies that there isn't a single thing he has done in his presidency that hasn't been done soley to benifit these companies. Bush can't be allowed to stay in office. Hell, they impeached clinton for lying about sex and yet we can't impeach Bush for lying about weapons of mass distruction, links to terrorists in iraq, murdering millions of afgani civilians, destroying our country's credibility to the world, and working solely for big buisness?!

I think that about sums it up.

I am a man who doesnt take political sides. I have seen Moores movie and i loved it. Not because it showed how Bush really is and what he has done while in office, but because it jsut gives you facts in an upbeat way.

On the problems with Bush. I am not defending him in any way but i have to say that what he has done is actually in the long run, a good thing. And how would Gore have handled this. Maybe better, Maybe worse. Why this is such a problem now that it is over is beyond me. Make your decisions on the future and how to make it better.

I also have to say that Bush is probably a warmongering texan who does have a plan. Its a plan at least. not necesarially a good one.

And now that im done, shouldnt this debate be stopped before it starts.

Hmmm... why hate bush?

Do you hang out with bush on the weekends? Are you his golfing buddy? Have you ever talked to him on the phone? The answer to all these questions is NO.

How can you say you hate some one when you don't even know them? You can't tell me you know bush inside and out. He is a man and you can't hate a man you don't know. What you should have said is you hate his actions... very big difference.

Hell, they impeached clinton for lying about sex and yet we can't impeach Bush for lying about weapons of mass distruction, links to terrorists in iraq, murdering millions of afgani civilians, destroying our country's credibility to the world, and working solely for big buisness?!

You have to remember that bush didn't do everything on his own. He had the support of 2/3 of the congress that is over 300 of teh 500 people. Don't try and tell me 300+ people are all curupt from bush.

And another thing, bush said there was "evidence of WMD"... Clinton said "I didn't do it"... big difference...

Ann Coulter...

Lol

You got a reason, punk?

Beside throwing our country into a dismal economic slump, lying to congress and the world about weapons of mass destruction that led to the first preemptive war ever in American history, and making us an utter disgrace to the rest of the world...no

What you should have said is you hate his actions... very big difference.

People are their actions, hating someone's actions almost always will mean hating them.

Don't try and tell me 300+ people are all curupt from bush.

In a manner of speaking, the congress was "curupted" by Bush because of his lies about an impending threat on the United States from Iraq threw congress into voting for the war.

And another thing, bush said there was "evidence of WMD"... Clinton said "I didn't do it"... big difference...

The only difference between those lives is the blood of hundreds of American lives and thousands of Iraqi lives. To even compare a lie about a fishystick to a lie that caused death and destruction is ridiculous.
