mattdthomas13
Hello Everyone, I am late to the party but I wanted to play through Skyrim. I have owned the game for a long time but since bought a 32:9 Ultra Wide monitor. Needless to say Skyrim is all but unplayable. I found some mods on the Nexus portal and installed them but I am not sure they are actually "working." I own the game through steam so I am not sure should I be launching the mods through the Vortex manager (which I have been doing) or do I need to go through Steam to get the mods to work? IsharaMeradin
Start Steam so that it is running in the background.Start Vortex.Install / Deploy your mods as needed in Vortex.Start Skyrim from Vortex. As far as whether the mods are working or not, it really depends upon the mod in question as to how you would determine if they are or are not working.A texture / mesh replacer, find the object in question in-game and see if looks different than default.A quest mod, find out how the quest starts and see if you can start it.A script mod that changes behavior, utilize whatever objects were adjusted and see if the behavior changed as expected. The list goes on... As far as working with ultra wide monitors, I cannot say as I have had no experience with them.
