Fuzion64
Okay so I just reinstalled Skyrim completely so its 100% fresh with no mods period except for Superb-RL ENB 2.5 + The Bethesda HD Texture PacksI ran an initial test - Walked around and it was perfect. No lag, no problems, and no slowdowns. I went back to my install processBy next installing Climates of tamriel + the ENBI ran an initial test - Walked around and it was perfect. No lag, no problems, and no slowdowns. I returned to my install process once moreby adding back in realistic lighting overhaulI ran an initial test - Walked around and it was perfect. No lag, no problems, and no slowdowns.I thought well okay, this is great now lets see if I can get skyrim to run good with Skyrim HD textures installed.Nope, not a chance. Everytime I turn or look around there is mouse lag eventhough I am running a very high end very powerful Radeon HD 7850 2GB video card. I'm trying to understand why my 7850 can't run this is there some settings that I have to alter under skyrimprefs.ini? I ask because, it was doing fine with 3 hd bethesda packs and superb-rl enb and two additional lighting/weather mods. Added in one single enhancement and baam! Performance drops fast! This is a 7850 for crying out loud. A 7850 is fast and runs everything I normally throw at it. I must say this very disappointing. I'm not even sure if I could add face packs, textures, weapons, and armors without it slowing down again. Do most people who use ENB's not run the Skyrim HD 2K texture pack? Adder1
Maybe running a texture optimizer like one or both of these might help?
