  1. Got a Nexus.exe from the San Jose server via this mod's AV package. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13779 Just a heads-up.
  2. ... we have light bulbs in Skyrim?
  3. Good Idea: Selling all your wares. Bad Idea: Selling all you wear.
  4. Yes. But that's mainly because I'm currently stuck with a laptop with a great processor... but Intel HD Graphics. If only I knew the difference between integrated and dedicated graphics cards at the time... *sigh* And now my Asian parents won't let me get a new one since they know it'll be for gaming! 8D
  5. oh ok i see then that makes sense. yes i have used boss and it said i needed 2 patches, i downloaded them and ran it again and it said i had no conflicts but when i play the game not all of the mods work. for instance, the tribunal maskes and robes. the masks work but not the robes. also the dance of death mod doesnt seem to be working, i have the menu for it though. i have another question, before i installed nexus mod manager i had downloaded a texture pack and copied it into my data folder, now i want to delete it and replace it with a new one. how would i go about deleting the current texture pack that i have?? For all of those, take a close look at the mod pages. They often come with detailed instructions (or at least they should) for installing/activating and uninstalling them.
  6. Some mods don't have plugins. Prime example are retexture/mesh-fixing mods. What is your mod list anyway? Site note- Okay, so you have BOSS. Have you cleaned plugins flagged as dirty by BOSS using TesVedit?
  7. Just read the instructions. Run BOSS and it'll reorganize your load order. Read the plugin list carefully. It's very much likely you'll have some uncleaned .esm's (you'll want to use TESVEDIT for those) or some missing master files. Honestly, Just take a look at the videos here.
  8. Gigantic downloads like that sometime derp up NMM. Try downloading it manually and then placing it in your Nexus Mod Manager -> Skyrim -> Mods folder.
  9. Thanks kindly for the reply. That certainly clears things up.
  10. I'm really curious about this one. Since I first learned how to clean mods through TESVEDIT, almost every time I install a new mod or update an existing one, I run an automated cleaning of it. Now, in Gopher's vid of this, he mentions specifically not to clean the unofficial patches. That has me wondering- is it actually a good idea to clean these mods if there's no warning about dirty edits in the BOSS log?
  11. Yeah, and I'm able to load an old savegame that I made when backing up my system. Just can't load a very specific save. Thing is, it's not bloated or anything. It's sitting around 11MB. Weird. And thanks for the advice. I'll keep that in mind.
  12. ... oookay, so apparently it was the merged patch. Deactivating it seems to work. Now I just have a problem with infinite loading screens on trying to load a save. :\
  13. 1) Incoming BOSS log! 2) I thought it was a good idea to use one, and I actually neglected to remember to put it before those compatibility patches. @.@ Guess I shouldn't?
  14. For whatever reason, Skyrim CTD's at the title screen even though I seem to have all necessary masters for the mods I have. Here's my load order if anyone would be so kind go help. I honestly don't know what the issue is.
  15. That's vanilla vampire eyes for you. Nothing wrong.
  16. Immersive Weapons. It just has such a wider scope and much more variety while still remaining mostly lore-friendly (things like the assassin sword seem a teensy bit imaginative).
  17. If pure FPS is what you're looking for in terms of lighting, this is what you're looking for. However, if you're looking for a mod that doesn't really impact performance but changes light sources to be more, well, realistic. Try this and/or this. Something to keep in mind- I'm running Intel HD Graphics. Not 3000, not 4000, not even 2500 or whatever that one is. Just... HD Graphics. RLO does have a bit of a combat stuttering issue with my laptop, but ELnFX pretty much causes no hit for me. Or, if it does, it's unnoticeable when working with HiAlgoBoost.
  18. This might help you all out. http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1443981-tweak-your-computer-what-does-it-do/
  19. Maybe running a texture optimizer like one or both of these might help?
  20. Okay. Well now it's pulled from the Nexus completely. Any ideas what that was all about?
  21. You could always look under Files -> Categories -> Animation and filter for endorsements or downloads. Take a look and see what you like.
  22. Well, mod page and comment tread's back up if you feel like taking a crack at things.
  23. GPU pretty much = graphics card, yeah. An integrated graphics card is integrated into the motherboard and uses the system's built-in RAM as its source of memory. It's cheaper and runs cooler, but since it's limited to system RAM (which tends to be slower) you're definitely going to catch hitches in regards to gaming graphics. Meanwhile, dedicated graphics cards have their own separate and dedicated RAM which is used wholly and only by the GPU. As brought up in the previous sentence, dedicated GPUs are more expensive and run hotter- hence why they tend to have fan(s) built into them. Integrated graphics cards are good for normal computer use. Dedicated graphics cards can do all that AND they can allow you to play games easier (unless you have a craptastic processor) and run certain imaging/media programs such as Photoshop or Flash Suite, what have you. Seeing as you're prooooobably a gamer if you're here in the first place, dedicated graphics cards are the way to go. Or at least go with AMD integrated graphics. *is stuck with Intel HD Graphics...* Edit: Also, you could have just put this into a search engine. WHY DID I BOTHER WITH THIS?!
  24. Sometimes desktops aren't really feasible, though. I for one, often have to game in secret because Asian parents. Thus, having a laptop allows me to, ah, face away from the doorway of my room. Sneakysneaky. Having a desktop? NNNNNot really feasible.
