Hey so when I try to start up my creation kit, it says that I've failed to load game because I'm missing executable. I don't even know what that means. Does anyone know how to fix this so I can use the creation kit? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try going to the "tools" section of your steam library, highlight the Creation Kit and right-click. Choose properties and then "verify tools cache" that should allow steam to scan your files and replace any that are missing.

Georgiegril gave the right answer just so people know. 79dsninja, you are talking about verifying the local files of Skyrim not CreationKit as Georgiegril said. Also, I certainly don't think even verifying Skyrim's local files which doesn't pertain to your question but you brought up, would harm any installed mods. I just did it a few minutes ago myself after re-installing windows and all my mods were still there and Skyrim still works. Mind you, I didn't re-install Skyrim as you mentioned but only verified it's local files through Steam. Although that has nothing to do with getting Creation Kit, CK, to find it's missing executable file, .exe, that it's missing.

Thanks Georgiegril to the answer to our question.
