SwedishSock
Hello! So, some days ago I installed first the NMM, and then I installed the Skyrim mod Skyrim HD 2k textures. I both downloaded, and activated them in NMM, and it worked well so far. However, when I start up Skyrim, and go into the Data Files from the main menu to make sure the mod is activated, it isn't there. There's nothing greyed out, the mod is simply not in the list. Can anyone help? It's not something that hinders me playing the game, but I wouldn't mind getting it sorted out. Thanks on beforehand!
korun
Skyrim HD 2k is only a texture mod, is modifying all the textures in the game but there is no master file to show up. All the texture are in your data folder, /data/texture/landscape for example.

All the texture are in your data folder, /data/texture/landscape for example. But it is still a mod, and it still doesn't work, and it still doesn't show up in my data files list. Besides, I do not have a texture folder in my data folder. It gets created when I download the mod, but I have no folder there from the start. korun
when I start up Skyrim, and go into the Data Files from the main menumeaning the launcher right? skyrim HD 2k don't have master file, so nothing show up here do you have a texture or meshe folder here?: c:\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\data\? if not, you didn't install anything, so just go in upper left corner in NMM "activate selected mods" wait few seconds and you will be prompted " ok mod is activated" @@

NoAardvarksAllowed
When you start using NMM, you should simply ignore the Data Files section of the Skyrim Launcher, since it's the former that decides what plugins are loaded and in which order. Better yet, you can ignore the Launcher altogether and start your game directly from NMM.
Perraith
Sounds similar to my problem right now. My mods are not showing up in the Data Files tab. Please note: The Date Files button IS clickable. Nothing is showing up there. And yes, I'm sure that's where the mods show up. They showed up there and worked in Skyrim, until Friday when I decided to connect to Steam and update Skyrim. After that little headache was finished my mods vanished. Can't find them in "Date Files". They are installed. They show up in the ...\common\skyrim\data folder, but they are not executing. I have no clue how to fix this or what broke. SwedishSock
It did work, so my problems are solved. However, it's a good idea to keep this thread open if someone else have similar problems :P When you start using NMM, you should simply ignore the Data Files section of the Skyrim Launcher, since it's the former that decides what plugins are loaded and in which order. Better yet, you can ignore the Launcher altogether and start your game directly from NMM. Just a quick question for you though; If I have both installed mods from Steam Workshop (Which shows up in the Data Files menu), and mods that I've installed with NMM, will they all work, or will the ones from Steam Workshop be ignored? And a quick thanks to Korun for helping me with the problem ^^
NoAardvarksAllowed
If the plugins (esp-files) show up in NMM's Plugins tab (and the boxes next to them are ticked), they will work regardless of where you got them.
