Anytime I attempt to launch Fallout 3 GOTY it will present me with an error reading "Fallout3.exe - Ordinal Not Found The ordinal 42 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\xlive.dll" this will appear even when I try to install a patch, any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

GFWL can also be installed via Microsoft's website to keep functionality of the LIVE system and repairs that error.

Fallout 3 was not designed for Windows 7 as such setting the game in System Compatibility for Windows XP SP3 helps stop a lot of issues related to the game.

It isn't resolved because as I said the when I start a new game it crashes, so not resolved yet.
