Gor-don Minute - During this minute I talk about.... oh dear lord... WILL SOMEBODY SAVE ME ALREADY, HE'S ALREADY EATEN MY- More Features to come! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cast: Cruk - A super mutant with a slightly higher than average intelligence. Somewhat similar to Fawkes, but unlike Fawkes he quite enjoys being a loud, obnoxious, flesh-eating brute. He managed to get a hold of a radio a few years back and became obsessed with Three Dog's broadcasts. Later on he was personally responsible for disrupting Three Dog's signal by shooting down his original transmitter dish. Later on this dish allowed him to start his own radio station with the help of Gordon who traded his talents as a tech in exchange for Cruk to stop eating him. Vork - A super mutant with a somewhat average intelligence for a mutant. He/She is confused by Cruk's obsession with broadcasting but lets the smarter mutant guide him/her. He/She is pretty sure that he/she used to be a girl, but he/she is not completely sure. He/She occasionally grows cranky at being the side-kick in the new venture and enjoys singing classic mutant songs, much to the dismay of all listeners. Gordon - A human tech who was captured by Cruk. He is missing a leg but managed to keep his life by providing Cruk a radio station. He manages the station for Cruk and is for all intensive purposes a prisoner. Nobody has come to rescue him yet and he gets quite depressed. He muses that he is becoming diabetic: the only thing that Cruk feeds him are sugar bombs and whiskey. He goes to his happy place a lot. I mean a whole lot. Gordon doesn't like to in the real world. Yup, no sir-ee... ADML 29, AKA "Admiral" - This Mister handy unit was recently rebuilt by Gordon after Vork brought the broken robot to the studio. He had mistakenly believed that Gordon might find the metal man "yummy". Gordon repaired the damaged robot, but was unable to repair the cpu of the original Mister Handy unit. Vork brought him another one which turned out to be from a military Mister Gutsy Model. ADML 29 was rebooted as the "Admiral" as Cruk calls him. Gordon was able to program him to protect the station and not attack the residents. He now unwillingly keeps the station tidy, helps Gordon with repairs, and occasionally stars in his own features where he describes what he really wants to be doing... ADML 29 is in a constant state of depression over his newly "civilian" status and occasionally tries to saw himself in half. Bubs the Philanthropic Ghoul - Bubs was once a member of middle management in the Pulowski Corporation before the war. He was a firm believer in the shelters that his company made to the point where he refused to enter the Vault he had been accepted into, instead he chose his own company's device. Unfortunately all he could afford was a factory defect model that had been later "reconditioned" and had a handsome money back guarantee. When the war occurred Bubs survived, but the radiation leaked into his shelter. He was transformed into a ghoul by the instense radiation. He also never got his money back. Over the next couple hundred years, Bubs concerned himself with trading and watching the newly changed markets. He was fascinated by the change to caps from traditional money and how bartering came back into vogue. He would later encounter Vork in the Capital Wasteland and would be dragged into Cruk's studio. Cruk didn't eat him due to his dislike of ghoul taste, but was impressed by the amount of talky words that Bubs had. Cruk would make him his "Markety Man Thingy" where he would comment on Capital Wasteland trade. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Casting Call: Yolinda Snarl - She is a crazed raider that has become a crazed fan of Cruk's broadcasts. She has been torturing and killing innocent wastelanders for all of her thirty years and absolutely loves Cruk's show. She considers his show to be the best in the Wasteland and dreams of "being with him" despite the fact that super mutants don't work that way. She actually has sought him out and came with Vork willingly to the studio. She wants to chat up her idol. Yolinda's role: One off guest with potential return appearances if popular. Most likely will survive the broadcast due to equal measures of Cruk being impressed he has fans and by his utter confusion and distaste for her inexplicable attraction to him. Remember, Yolinda should be both crazed and crazy Requirements for VA's: Female VA's only, please sound like you are around 30 years old with a raider's inflection. Have sample ready and be ready to record sample lines from provided scripts for call-backs. *^*^*^*^* Brotherhood of Steel Scribe - This scribe has spent his/her life working for the Brotherhood, specializing in studying super mutants. He/She has heard Cruk's broadcasts and was amazed. The scribe thought that Cruk was an example of an aberration within the super mutant community and was worthy of study. When the scribe asked permission from her superiors to go out and find him, his/her request was denied. It was said that the danger was too great. The scribe ignored teh warnings, the potential in studying an obviously verbose Cruk was worth the risk. The scribe literally fell upon Cruk and Company while searching through the Mall. From there he/she managed to negotiate for his/her life by convincing Cruk that he/she would make a great book reviewer for the station. Seeing a chance to expand his station further Cruk agreed and "hired" the scribe. The scribe has a feature where he/she rates books found in the Wasteland, but mostly does it to give him/herself more time to study Cruk... Scribe's role: A regular cast member. He/She will be reviewing books (such as the Wasteland Survival Guide and the various skill books) while maintaining a log of Cruk's activities. Requirements for VA's: Male or Female VA's. Please sound somewhat academic and sly. Have a sample ready and be ready to record sample lines from provided scripts for call-backs. *^*^*^*^* Talon Company Mercenary - This mercenary breaks into Cruk's studio in mid broadcast. He has a target in mind and he aims to shove him off his mortal coil. Mercenary's role: One off guest on Cruk's show. Credit will be given to the VA. Requirements for VA's: Male or Female VA's. Please sound gruff, tough, and para-militaristic Sound must be in range of mid 20's to 30's. Have a sample ready and be ready to record sample lines from provided scripts for call-backs. More casting calls to come with list being update as roles are filled! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Talk Thing with Cruk: Mutant Radio Staff: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wanted Ads: Quest Scripter - Design quests for Talk Thing with Cruk: Mutant Radio for players to complete in game. These would range from simple collection quests, escort quests, to longer quests. Multiple people wanted. NPC Designer - Design Cruk and Crew in-game! Using basic guidelines provided, create the crew of Talk thing with Cruk: Mutant Radio for players to interact with in-game. Unique Item Designer - Design new and unique items for the mod. Feat Designer - Design a new feat that will be rewarded at the end of planned long running Cruk quest. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mod Decription: The basic premise of this mod is to add another radio station to the game. This one is run by a supermutant: Cruk. He has a side kick in the form of Vork, another supermutant; and a human scientist who acts as their tech named Gordon. It is mostly going to be a talk radio show hosted by Cruk with interruptions by "guests" and the occasionaly jarring melody as sung by the tone-deaf Vork. It's meant to be a humurous look at super mutants within the Fallout Universe with a marginally smarter mutant making commentary on the Capital Wasteland. Currently we are recording pieces and have a large amount of scripts in reserve. We have recruited voice talent and are looking for more ideas from the community for further Cruk features and potential guest stars. All script ideas are welcome. The first BETA version of Talk Thing with Cruk: Mutant Radio is up for download, follow the link further up on the page. We are taking a week to organize here at Cruk Studios, in preperation for our 1.0 release. Once our reorganization has taken place, we will have a posted schedule for further updates for the mods. It is most likely that many of the pieces that you currently hear within the mod will either be re-recorded, be subject to further editing, or even cut for the final version. We want this project to be entertaining for the whole Fallout Community, we want to have fun doing it, and we want to do it well. For further updates we plan on adding physical locations for the Mutant Radio Studios, quests, items, and even feats associated with said quests! We here at Talk Thing with Cruk do not want to argue with anyone. Even though it is not even supermutantly possible to please everyone, we will not go out of our way to dismiss any opinions. We will listen and weigh any feedback that comes our way. The primary staff for Talk Thing with Cruk are myself, Gor-Don, and GhostZer0. Anything you hear from us will be considered responses from TTWC. We will acknowledge all contributions made to Talk Thing from the Community in this Thread and will update as new pieces are integrated. Don't be afraid of not being credited for contributions! Skree000
that sounds amazing! So cute :) Best of luck and I hope to see this done soon (with style too imho, but it looks like you have lots of that already!)(make sure the voice talent you get is beyond amazing though! Nothing spoils great ideas more than bad voice talent (and/or bad voice recordings!) With all this you've shown so far im sure you'll do great things! Keep it up! Zeperoth
Hey, I love your mod, BUT, do you think you could boost the volume of Cruk's voice a little? Maybe it's just me but it can be a little hard to hear him sometimes. :) Other than that this thing is a work of art. Really great work.
