Hey I've just found this and a couple of other sites about a so called time traveller guy from the year 2036 who rants about a civil war in the U.S and a WWIII and I just wanted to know what people think or know about this.

John Titer may or may not be from the future,but either this is a real smart fraud,or legimite. He is right about one thing,sooner or later,US is going to blow the crap out of itself. Did you know that US has enough arms to kill everyone in the worlf 13 times?

So do England, France and China, with the right prevailing winds. It's not very difficult - all you need is some nukes, some zinc, a few other heavy metals and a coupla scientists. And if this guy really came back in time, why would he bother with a blog? I'd be making a fortune on the races/stock exchange and buying myself a few governments rather than complaining about WWIII.

Theres kinda a nuclear holocaust, so manipulating the stock markets wouldn't do that much personally. If the "new" U.S. government does exist in the future, it probably would use different stocks, government, etc. seeing as how the way the last one went. And also this nuclear holocaust would probably destroy all known stock records, so once again, it wouldn't really do much.

 

As to if he was real or not, he might be, he might not. If it was a fraud, that was a damn good fraud. It's pretty believable if you ask me, judging on where the U.S. is going right now.

No, he doesnt want to stop it he says this nuclear war is good for society even though it kills 3 billion people.

 

I don't know much of what this guy talks about but he mentions something about how many people use typewriters in 2036 so maybe they use any companies stuff , the guy isn't in the U.S army he says something about being a rebel or something.

Well, could we not test his statements by finding the child version of him in present time and killing him? That way if it is a hoax all of this stuff would still be around and we would know for certain.

I haven't actually read ALL of this posts, but after reading this thread I read some, and I also searched for "John Titor" on Google. I will look more into it when I have more time, but so far I am fully convinced that this whole affair is a hoax.

 

A guy called Kev on www.ratatak.com states that

 

After a bit of research, I think there's a good chance that John Titor may be in fact a fellow called Aage Nost - who actually lives in the present. Surprise surprise!

 

I don't know what his "research" has been, apparently his evidence is that Aage Nost has made some "prophecies" on the future identical to John Titor's stories.

 

Now, of course, the only way of being certain that this whole affair was a hoax is to wait until the end of 2004 and check if a civil war has started in the US, or if it is likely to start.

 

However, there are other things that can be attempted:

 

1) If there is ANY way to do that, we could check if a "John Titor" was actually born in 1998.

 

2) Someone with a good scientific knowledge could check the scans that John has made from his "time machine" manual, and tell us if they are, at least, plausible.
