Proximitus
So I recently bought the Proglide styler and after a few uses, it doesn't quite do the job it did the first time I used it... I first thought the hairs of my beard were the reason and that they clogged up the system, but it seems like the trimmer head (the blades that go back and forth) is reeeaally stiff. So I thought of oiling it but it didn't quite worked.. Looking onto the internet reveals that alot of other people have problems with it, while other people simply don't.. So! I was wondering who of you got one and what do you think of it? And if you don't have any problems with it, tell me how to fix mine! I'm already looking for another trimmer that can handle my rough beard so any suggestions are welcome :) (IF, by any chance, this topic is in the wrong section, move it :))
Illiad86
What I've noticed with those electric trimmer systems is you gotta pay a pretty penny if you want it to work worth a crap. That one looks like one of those ones that vibrate? I dunno, I always thought that was a scam. My boyfriend has always used the good old Mach 3s. His facial hair is pretty rough and the Mach 3 blades always go right through it. He rarely gets razor burn from them too. Just hate the price of the blades though...$20 for 3 of them. They can last a long time if you keep them dry and clean, but sheesh... Edited February 19, 2013 by Illiad86
Thor.
Electric all the way, although i use regular blades now and then if it gets to thick, my hair grows to fast sigh, fusion in the other hand is way to expensive, 16$ a pop. At least here. Werne
That one looks like one of those ones that vibrate? Ragicka
I bought one a few months ago. It got a bit sluggish after a few weeks but I popped in a new battery and it's been fine ever since. I always keep it dry (never tried the blade attachment) and brush it out after every use.

The blades will last much longer. I still can't believe how expensive they are though...argh! Just love it when $25 of my grocery bill is razor blades
