pheonixstar
I am starting my first FO:NV game and I have installed some mods. There seems to be some sort of memory leak though because after I play awhile I get freezes when I open items or pip-boy. This freezing may be alleviated by moving the mouse (mouse interrupt perhaps), but it is getting a bit annoying. I also had my first CTD about 5 hours in. My load order is below and I am running this on a 2500k, 4gb of ram, Windows 7 64 bit with a ATI Radeon 6870. Any help is appreciated. pheonixstar
Isn't a memory leak a pretty common explanation when programs get increasingly slow and unresponsive as they run?
Xaranth
It's not a memory leak. FNV actually has a pretty good garbage collector as far as that goes. I suspect you're suffering from data read lag, either from an overclogged bus or an inefficient object indexing system, I've never actually looked at the object indexing very closely. Try NVSR. Also look at adjusting your cell buffer and preload size limits.
pheonixstar
Thank you Xaranth. This seems to be helping. I have also found that using pcb in the console helps once I start seeing slowdowns.
