LE Upgradable House mods

This isn't so much a mod request as a recommendation request (though anyone wanting to have a go at making a mod, great!). Can anyone recommend some good upgradable homes?

 

I know there are a lot of players that hate the whole process of saving up gold to buy houses then having to save up even more gold to furnish the house and make it even vaguely usable. Personally, however, this is a part of the game I love. I really enjoy the whole aspect of buying somewhere and then unlocking upgrades and seeing just what they add. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and even a little bit of pride.

 

Unfortunetly for me, a lot of the home mods on the nexus don't really hit that spot. You get the mods that drop massive homes into the game that include everything you'll ever need all in one go or you get admittedly beautifully designed and lovingly furnished homes that you just get or maybe find a key for. So many times I've wished versions of some of these existed where they were completely empty shells you had to upgrade yourself although I get that to do this would require massive amounts of work for mod authors so I don't have the cheek to ever ask.

 

So can anyone recommend some good mods where the player buys upgrades (or even upgrades themselves i.e. Build Your Own Home, Hearthfire)? Bethesda homes overhauled or entirely original, I don't mind.

Build your own home, you already listed, but you build it up from scratch, spending money or time to get the materials to upgrade it.

Breezehome can be upgraded without hearthfire.

Skyrim Safehouse seems to imply it starts off somewhat large, but it does mention you can get upgrades.

Missing Houses adds purchasable and upgradable houses to a lot of the cities.
