Nimarus
I'm trying to figure out what mod is causing this problem. I created a Female Dunmer and was going through the selection of eye colors. When I reached the last eye color, I instantly CTD. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction on how to find out which mod is causing this problem. Looking through my list of installed mods, I see no mod that says it alters the eyes (except for a mod I have that effects vampire eyes.) I see that Male Dunmers have 6 eye colors while Female Dunmers have 7 (7th probably from an installed mod). Is it possible to narrow down what mods effect the eye colors in a program like xedit? Edit: This is what my Papyrus crash log showed at the end[10/25/2020 - 02:32:10PM] [Ecks_IAConfigMenu <IAAdminQuest (2A014836)>] INITIALIZED [10/25/2020 - 02:32:10PM] [WB_MCMQuest_Script <WB_SkyUI_Quest (9C04013A)>]: Registered Apocalypse Spells at MCM. IsharaMeradin
Papyrus log is not a crash log. It won't help in this instance. Load all your active plugins in SSEEditLook for [00] Skyrim.esm (AF75991D) \ FormID List \ 000A802B <HeadPartsDarkElf>Also look for [00] Skyrim.esm (AF75991D) \ FormID List \ 000A8025 <HeadPartsElves>And in case vampire is involved look for [00] Skyrim.esm (AF75991D) \ FormID List \ 00107B99 <HeadPartsHumanoidVampire>Click on the References tabThis will list all Head Parts usable by the race(s) listed in the form listInspect each one individually to see if a mod edits them.Do this by: left clicking on the record, inspecting the record for an overriding mod version, click the back arrow at the top of the SSEEdit window to return to the previous list. If no mod edits the individual records or adds new records referencing the list(s), then you need to check your mods for replacement eye meshes. Algabar
In addition to the advice above: You could also let "Nif Scan" check your files. The program will - among other things - detect meshes and textures, that are either corrupted or in an invalid file format. Skyrim SE is a bit more "picky" then LE when it comes to mesh and texture file formats. E.g. "Oldrim" could handle texture files in .tga format, whereas such files will make SE crash. Problem is: Some older LE mods still use this format...Your crash could be related to something like that: Some corrupted eye mesh or texture from an older or not properly converted mod... BTW, before you ask: Yes, "Nif Scan" is in the "Oldrim" mods section. But it definitely works for SE, too.
