velvetkevorkian
You guys know that the 14mm is Deckard's gun from blade runner, right? http://www.jdmfilmreviews.com/images/blade-runner-deckard-gun1.jpg It doesn't look exactly the same but that's what it's supposed to be. Z3ROENERGY
Holy mother of polywastage....Whats the poly count on it? or the tris? It looks good but damn it seems a bit high poly.
PsyckoSama
ive tried converting acm sound files from fallout 1 and 2, to .wav, adjusted the speed and pitch accordingly, but they all sound really shaky, low quality. (like it's getting empty spaces in between the bits of sound playing, i'm no sound engineer so i really don't know what's wrong) i do have a huge collection of conventional gun sounds from all the rainbow6 and ghost recon games of the past :P Here... try this version of the 14mm sound. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8NZC4RNH Though seriously, lower the ploy count on those grips! joefoxx082
hehehe i've said it before, i'll say it again... the default grip is low poly, this is just mesh smoothed version saved as 14mm_hpol.max i've finished the uvw unwrap of the low poly grip before i did the hi version... i guess i'll be using hi poly for my own game, and upload the low poly here at nexus once it's completed :P @PsyckoSamathanks for the sound file! you'll definitely be credited for the contribution :) just a small update: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v639/grey_foxx082/14mmpartial1-1.jpg this is the low poly version... the grip still looks ok, i guess. :)
jkruse05
What reload animation are you planning to use? With the magazine forward like that I'd assume 10mm smg, does it line up?
joefoxx082
an untextured version is already in my game so i can align the animations and proportions correctly
PsyckoSama
@PsyckoSamathanks for the sound file! you'll definitely be credited for the contribution :) Woot! The trick is to use acm2wav in the command console and use the -m command to make it process as a mono sound file as all fallout voice and sound effects are mono. joefoxx082
i'm so happy the gun is finally complete, took me a while trying to figure out how to make 'wood' out of a combination of browns, whites, and grays, and looking for the right brush :P ... will be working on retexturing one of the ammo boxes so i can make the 14mm ammunition container for the game (this is the low poly version) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v639/grey_foxx082/14mmpartial1-2.jpg in game pics: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v639/grey_foxx082/14mmpistolingame.jpg @PsyckoSama i see now, thanks for the tip
WrathOfDeadguy
Nice work indeed- the 14mm was one of my favorite weapons for characters who didn't have the STR to handle the .223 pistol properly. Never could understand how weaker chars could handle such a bloody huge chambering, but it definitely looked and sounded awesome. Can't wait to try this out. :)
