Edit the Combat Dummy mesh

I want to use a part of the combat dummy to display some armor in my home.

The problem is, I can't get it to work in the creation kit..

So, is there anybody who's willing to help me with this?

This is the dummy I want to use, but without the arms and it's head (cut it off around his neck).

I hope someone can assist me with this, for I can't do it, and I really want to use it

Ok, I guess I wasn't really clear on my request:

It does NOT have to be some sort of mannequin with scripting and a skeleton.nif etc etc.

What I'm planning to do is to make it a static item, nothing more, nothing less.

The problem I am having is that I can't get it to appear right in the CK (It appears as a giant exclamation mark).

So, since there are some modders around with more experience, I was hoping someone could do that for me :)

It takes a while for modders to even get around to checking the suggestions. Often times, t hey're already working on something, so it may take several days or weeks before they get around to it, and avoid posting because it may deter modders who are ready to take on a new one.

WHat you're asking for does need a skeleton complete with Torso and Legs, even if the mesh only has a stick and torso, otherwise it won't be able to get the armor to fit properly. It may even need arms, even if they're unmeshed, invisible, and just hanging downard, since a lot of armors include sleeves.

Armor works, to my knowledge, by taking certain portions and fitting it over the mesh surrounding a bone. If there is no bone, it gltiches out, but if there's no mesh it will fit as snug as it potentially can over "thin air" (I assume there's a minimum size) in whichever direction the invisible skeleton's arms go. Making the arms not be present should be as simple as making those limbs go inside the torso so that it hides them.

A static object, at most, could act like a table; you can put something on top of it, but it won't wear it. Since you're asking for a dummy that wears the armor, not a display case that just holds the armor inside it, it's best to use that skeleton.

No no no, you don't understand! I make the dummy static and the armor to! I need it for my mod

All the items in there are static. What I'm planning to do is, put up the static dummy, make an activator and marker etc etc, so that when you activate it, it places the ebony mail (also a static item) The ebony mail just floats in mid air, since it's static, but by putting the dummy "underneath" it, makes it look like the ebony mail is shoved over the dummy.

Mayby it's not that clear, but if someone could edit the dummy the way I want, I will show you what I mean ;)

Oooh. I see. If you're using preset "statics" that take the mesh of the dynamics, it may be best to just make an entirely seperate static object altogether for each visual. "Naked Armor Stand," "Ebony Armor Stand," etc. Clipping issues may not like you if you try to clip two seperate statics together.

I have added both the dummy and the ebony mail to the static last and placed them the way I wanted. As you can see, no clipping! I resized the dummy a bit to fit:
