Antioche
This is silly !! I have the ini set to allow screenshots, the default name is 'screenshot', is there some other setting that allows me to press a key to take one? I thought it was \ or something of the sort? The ONLY way I can do it now is by hitting Alt+Prntscrn and then pasting my clipboard to a blank jpg! talk about tedious! I know I had like three screenshots saved at one time, they all appeared in my base folder, named screenshot01 through 03 how the geck...erm heck did I DO that? and why can't I repeat it? Thanks in advance !!!

LostGirl
I too am searching for this answer. I didnt know you had to set anything in the fallout.ini file, I review it now. Any replies would be most helpful. :thanks:
bben46
A much better way to take screenshots is to use the free version of FRAPS. Fraps site here: http://www.fraps.com/ It will do short videos too, plus show FPS and do some benchmark testing. It works in many other games and some other programs as well. jaosals42
I do recommend Fraps, but the free version save pictures in a bmp format. BMP formats aren't accepted by the nexuses for posting. However, I've provided a link to a free converter that can change these pictures from a bmp to a usable, postable and smaller jpeg format. It may be called dds converter, but it works with converting tga's, bmp's, jpg's and other. http://eliteforce2.filefront.com/file/DDS_Converter;29412 It may be slow, however, so wait a little for it to run completely. bben46
You can turn the counter off. Or turn Fraps off when you are not expecting to take pics. The counter is your FPS (frames per second) or how fast your game is running. Handy for troubleshooting. There are many free programs that will convert whatever format you have to whatever you want. (bmp to jpg, jpeg or many other formats) I use the free program irfanview. But there are a lot that do it as well or even better. And they are fast. The dds converter will work fine.
