anjenthedog
Recently, something's gone afoul and I'm having to fire up console, then issue TG twice (disable then enable) in order for ground clutter to appear. Also. when wandering, I'll be walking in an area with grasses and other ground clutter, then suddenly enter a new cell where I have to again fire up console and do the TG trick. Any ini file checks I should do to try to resolve the issue? Other hints?
saurusmaximus
In skyrim.ini under Grass: bAllowCreateGrass=1 <-Obvious what this one does, make sure it's set to 1 iGrassCellRadius=2 <-Default value is 2, so if it isn't in your .ini file already don't worry about it, unless you have messed with your uGridstoload setting. If it is listed, the value should be: (ugridstoload-1)/2. iMinGrassSize=any number between 1 and 999, though the default is 20. Source

They (I think) helped me track down the problem. Recently, I added a few settings to the grass for a new grass mod I tried out (from the install instructions), and one of the lines was bAllowLoadGrass=0. According to some post I found, it turns out that it's an older method for turning grass on and off and may have been conflicting with bAllowCreateGrass=1 I removed the bAllowLoadGrass setting and all ls well once again.
