turken Posted February 28, 2013 Share Posted February 28, 2013 (edited) Sup, was about to play yesterday, but when i ran FNVedit this msg popped up:Fatal: Could not open registry key: \SOFTWARE\Bethesda Softworks\FalloutNV\Checked my reg and indeed, that particular reg key was didnt exist in that pos or in fact any other place.Havent tried running FONV yet so i dont know if it matters.Im running STEAM version FONV Ultimate Edition.Questions:Is the steam version supposed to have that reg key at all or is FNVedit f'ed up?Will it affect the game?Any way to restore the key if its supposed to exist? (other that reinstall, hell no im not doing that took long enough to get it all running in the first place)<span style="color:rgb(255,165,0);"><<em>Snipped instructions for hacking the game. SMB92 Posted February 28, 2013 Share Posted February 28, 2013 Easy solution my friend, open FalloutLauncher just ONCE, DO NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS - If you do it will reset your INIs. By opening the launcher your reg keys will restore :smile: No worries then EDIT: Spelling XD - Oh and FNVedit will work fine after you do this.
