eleventyhundred3
So I've been having terrible loading times, and i noticed it after i stopped playing for maybe a month give or take then came back to it. I just checked my save files after a lot of troubleshooting and saw my last reasonable file sizes were about 14,000 kb aka 14 mb (i think)Then one save, the first one from the soul cairin, was 300,000 kb. Then it kept jumping up FAST and is now 600,000 kb. That seems....a little too big to me :/My load order:Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmDawnguard.esmHearthFires.esmDragonborn.esmUnofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.espRaceCompatibility.esmHighResTexturePack01.espHighResTexturePack02.espHighResTexturePack03.espVolkihar Knight.espPerfect Legionnaire - Full Helmet.espPerfect Legionnaire - Troops Re-equipment.espAOS.espThe Ningheim.espdD - Enhanced Blood Main.espdD-Reduced Wound Size.espAOS2_EBT Patch.espAuto Unequip Ammo.espChesko_WearableLantern.espSkyHUD.esp12FemaleBrows.espdD-Dragonborn-Dawnguard-EBT Patch.espdD-Medium Script Range.espdD-Reduced Splatter Size.esplanterns of skyrim - all in one.espRaceCompatibilityUSKPOverride.espBrows.espKS Hairdos - HDT.espXPMSE.espktxcompleteskyforge.espFNIS.espRaceMenu.espRaceMenuPlugin.espimprovedquestbooks.espimprovedskillbooks.espUnreadBooksGlow.espa quality world map - with roads.espbarenziahquestmarkers.espSkyUI.espdd - realistic ragdoll force - realistic.espfaster vanilla horses.espHere There Be Monsters.espUFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul.espStaticMeshImprovementMod.espkillthemgenerals.espbetter embers.espreduced distance npc greetings.espenhancedlightingforrealisticlighting.espsamuraiarmor.espTheEyesOfBeauty.esp So update: I ended up getting rid of like 1 or 2 mods, nothing worked, so i deleted like 2-3 hours of progress before the issue began, and this time around it just doesn't do that anymore....that was absolutely insane but at least now i know how to clean my saves :)) Edited November 13, 2020 by eleventyhundred3
Shadeybladey
600 MB? Sounds like you have runaway Save Bloat due maybe to a bad script going haywire. 14 MB is perfectly normal, and it's normal for saved file size to gently increase as time goes buy. I have Skyrim LE and have: Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmDawnguard.esmHearthFires.esmDragonborn.esmUnofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.espHighResTexturePack01.espHighResTexturePack02.espHighResTexturePack03.espdD - Enhanced Blood Main.espChesko_WearableLantern.esplanterns of skyrim - all in one.espUnreadBooksGlow.espa quality world map - with roads.espSkyUI.espdd - realistic ragdoll force - realistic.espUFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul.esp So I'm pretty sure those are OK, assuming we have the same editions.

Shadeybladey
In the past, for a few years after release, there was much talk of how to identify the mod/mods causing such a problem. I'm sure there's a large archive here. The idea is that if scripts are not perfectly done and have certain commands in them badly handled, the script might do something like search a wide area for, say, dragons and activate a dragon attack. If there are no dragons, there is no attack. But the search can be saved in the saved file and make it bigger and bigger. This causes huge loading times, lag and crashes. That's just a very rough example. You seem to have a lot of graphics and item mods, so they should be fine. All I can suggest is: * Did you add any mods just before the bloat? If so, try removing it completely and go back to the last save before adding that mod. * are you able to tell which mods have scripts in them? * how far had you got in the game? The first tip is always use the most recently updated mod and make sure the mods are for the edition of Skyrim you are using. Checking the mod author's page may also reveal any reported issues. Good Luck!
