I have done the quadcore fix and defraged my hard drive. I also dont have many programs running in the background.</p>
I am running fallout 3 stutter remover aswell.
My OS is windows 7 64bit Home.

 

Spec

 

core i7 920 @ 4ghz

geforce 480

6gb ddr ram.

 

I have also enabled my game to use more than 2gb of ram.

 

I am also using fake full screen.

 

I have the goty steam version.

Freezing in Fallout 3 is almost always the Fallout 3 multi core bug.

 

You say you've done the fix, did you definitely edit the correct .ini? As it's a common mistake to get the wrong one.

 

The one you want to change is:

 

For XP:

 

My Documents\My Games\Fallout3\

 

For Vista & Win7:

 

Documents\My Games\Fallout3

 

The file you want will be called:

 

FALLOUT.ini

 

Open the .ini with Notepad & change this line:

 

bUseThreadedAI=0

 

to:

 

bUseThreadedAI=1

 

& insert this line under it:

 

iNumHWThreads=2

 

Save & close your ini.

 

Make sure you take care of both those lines.

Its odd i was getting crashes with it set it back to 2 and crashes are sorted lol.
