freedom5515
Im interested in modding. Could someone point me a model creator which is novice friendly?
SirSmokeALot
Well, I'm not an experienced Modder but I would recomment Blender for starters.I started with it and come along good and the most tutorials for Fallout 3 are for Blender (Or 3DS MAX but I think its more complicated to learn so its better for the expirienced Modders). To Know More visit:http://www.blender.org/ SSAL
LHammonds
Modeling is not extremely easy no matter what tool you pick. There is a lot to learn besides just the creation of the model such as UV Maps, rigging/animation, poly count usage, normal maps, exporting, etc. I recommend Blender because it is free, constantly under development for improvements, tons of tutorials for it, and widely used in Oblivion/Fallout modding so there are people here that can help as well. Here is a page on the Nexus where you can download it and all the necessary pieces to make it work correctly and the step-for-step instructions for each component. Pyro Paul
I would suggest Blender... because it is a decent free 3d modeling program with a good community of users which will help you out... if you find the right forums that they visit. 3dStudioMax and Maya are professional modeling programs used by movie makers and game designers selling for ballpark 2-3 thousand dollars a licence... Haito13
Thought this might mean something to you, if you own oblivion, maybe you should try modding that 1st. The tutorials available for that would be more detailed and seem to be similar with how fallout3 works. That would be easier than posting questions on the board, trust me, been there, didn't like it.
