ALL CREDITS ABOUT MODELING AND TEXTURING, ARE FOR THE REAL AUTHORS , I DID NOT MODEL IT OR TEXTURE IT.

Much probably that the guys from FWE are the real authors here... bets are 10 to 1 for FWE Guys over Bethesda, but I'll let you be the judge.

 

 

General Description:

 

This mod adds two Sniper Rifles to Fallout 3.
Using the PSG1SD Extended Clip, model, I tweaked the stats of the existing Victory Rifle so there's a little bit of visual difference between the rifles.

-The first Rifle is located in the Germantown Police HQ, inside a locked (HARD) Cabinet. The only thing to get the weapon (besides the lockpicking) is to pass trough the mutants over the Police HQ, but no much deal for it.

-The second Rifle is owned by Arkansas in minefield. Be adviced that Arkansas is an Sniper NPC, so now he has a more powerfull rifle. Probably he'll kill you on the first shot (or left you wounded really bad) so Stealth is highly recomended, try to take him out on the first shot since minefield is not a place were you can go running for cover (or you'll be blown up to pieces). Almost an sniper duel you got here, but remember, Arkansas is on higher ground, has a good perception, and you not only are in open field, also have to deal whit mines.

Using the Experimental Predator Rifle with FWE, ANCHORAGE, THE PITT, POINT LOOKOUT, MOTHERSHIP Z. ... Dunno if they're really needed for the mod to work.

 

Since this is my first mod attemp, any FEEDBACK would be REALLY apreciated.

Archives Debrief...
Experimental Predator Rifle.rar has the main .esp, .nif and data.txt, wich contains a link to download the textures (sorry folks but cannot upload it here...it only allows me to upload 58.9kb archives...and the Textures rar PSG1.rar weights about 2mb)

 

ATTENTION: Asked for permission to the model author, awaiting answer... (that's why this file It's not published yet)

I can see your problem just from the screenshots of your Weapon's stats in GECK.

 

In the Art & sound tab there's a setting called "1st Person Model Object" & it's set to 1st Person Sniper Rifle.

 

You need to change that to None.

 

The 1st person setting is used when you have two versions of your weapon, one with high res textures & one that's used when the weapon is dropped with low res textures. Vanilla weapons use this technique to cut down on resource usage in game.

 

If you have only one version that's fine but you must set it to None.

 

It'll be a left over from the vanilla sniper rifle settings you used as a base. :)

 

By the way, your sample download is just the .esp with no model or textures, is that correct?

 

The model looks very good in the picture, did you make it?

BTW, the model it's just an image to show the rifle model for people who don't identify guns by name.

About the file, sorry, my bad... forgot to upload the model and the texture.
Fixing it right away...but i think they should be in-game, since I just picked up those from the scrolldown menu in G.E.C.K. (unless they're added from FWE).

 

Checkin it and re-uploading.
