rmm200
If you get stuck again - use Task Manager to terminate Vortex. Also kill the two Vortex background processes.Start Vortex again. It should work fine now.

Domingo109
I just wanted to report that Vortex apparently gets bloated and freezes after installing some mods. The only way out is to End Task and start again for some more mod installs. Not only does Vortex freezes but it also takes Windows 10 along for the ride. I notice that some mods containing NVSE plugins don't get registered in that folder, is a good thing to check after installing say, johnny guitar, etc. that those plugins are inserted in that NVSE folder. Your problem may be specific to your computer system. Over the past four years I've used Vortex on four different Windows 10 Pro 64 bit gaming computers (mine and other family members), and I've never experienced the freeze problem that you describe. I wish I could be of more help to you, but I thought it worth suggesting, based on my own experience, that you also consider whether anything in your computer setup might be causing this problem. Domingo109
AgustaCalidia, maybe you are right, the thing is that all are correctly installed and activated with Vortex as long as I don't install too many at one time. Also, my games run without a hiccup with 90 plus mods. Finally, I decided to uninstall and reinstall Vortex and the problem went away, funny because Vortex was working nice for some time on the first install. You've solved your problem, and that's good news! While I've never had to reinstall Vortex to solve a problem, I have had to restart it on occasion to resolve one particular issue. Sometimes Vortex balks when switching profiles. Restarting it solves the problem.
FRIENDMYFRIEND
VORTEX NEEDS TO BE COMPLETELY REBUILT AND THE DEVS KNOW IT. IT PUTS ITSELF ON TOP OF EVERYTHING YOUR DOING THEN LAGS AND THE ONLY WAY TO ADVANCE IS REDUCE IT TO THE TASK BAR. DDD
