Followers can kill protected NPCs

As mentioned in the title, I'm experiencing a weird bug where my followers can kill protected NPCs. They should only be able to be killed by the player, right? I think I've heard somewhere before that there are some mods that allow followers to do this, but I still can't find the possible cause for my problem. Has anyone experienced this before?

In theory, Protected NPCs are only supposed to be able to be killed by the player; in practice though, they can be killed by anybody. It's one of those bugs that really never got sorted out.

Thanks for replying. I decided not to care about it anymore, and tbh, it doesn't affect my playthrough one bit :laugh: I guess we shouldn't try to fix every minor bugs anyway :confused:
