Mogymog Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Not sure if this is the right place, or even if it hasn't been posted before, looked but no found. So here goes.. Has anyone else had the problem of Quantum's stopping being bright blue and just a dull grey color like the regular Nuka-cola bottles? It had always been brightblue, my brother installed it on his comp, and I noticed the Quantum's where dull grey and I told him they should have been bright-blue.. so I went on my game to see, and they was the same color. None of my options, or color things or anything have been changed. No mods I have that I know of alter nuka or quantum colors. Its just, no longer bright blue. So if I go quantum hunting I have to pay real good attention to what I'm grabbing.. Anyone else got this problem, or possibly some idea what is wrong or how to fix it? edit/ps.. erm well it only seems to effect bottles, the quantum lake is still a bright blue.. even more confusing
domanz Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Only thing I could think of is some problem with your DVD? How else should a problem on your brother's PC affect yours? Try downloading some mini-image (if one exists) to see if the problem still remains.
Circuitous Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 If you don't have HDR enabled, the bottles won't glow. Same thing happens on my brother's computer. Hasn't affected mine yet.
Kellao Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 heh...you know something...for me at first they were grey. then after playing with the graphics they became a blue crystal glowy color almost around the time when...my game...got...laggy...and performed badly... ... wow I think I just stumbled upon the answer to my PC trouble. quick question does turning HDR down improve performance? and if so how do I turn it down.
Mogymog Posted January 4, 2009 Author Posted January 4, 2009 Thanks Circ.. that fixed it right up. And yeah you can turn off HDR, just go into the launcher and options.. and set it to bloom or off.
Circuitous Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 HDR is a pretty hefty performance hog, yes. Bloom isn't as bad but it's still rough on older cards.
