PvtKosly1223
I've been wanting to edit the way I hold a shotgun cause I hate how the character just hold the bottom of the receiver (like in the pic) and not the forearm like hem's SUPPOSED to. madmongo
Eh, kinda. Maybe. So, if you want to edit this yourself, you need to edit the kf file that controls the animation for this weapon type. There are a couple of issues here. First, animations in FNV are not well documented, and the fact that you have to ask about it means that you don't know how it's done. Basically you need to edit the file with Blender or 3ds Max (I use Blender since it's free, and the version of 3ds Max that works with FNV isn't free). This of course assumes that you know how to edit animations using a 3d modeling program. The second issue is that you can't just edit the shotgun animation, since there is no animation specific for the shotgun. I believe that particular shotgun uses the 2-handed automatic weapon animation, so changing that animation will change how every weapon using that animation is held. One annoying thing about FNV is that the animation types are hard-coded into the program, so you can't easily add one into the GECK. There are a few free slots but figuring out how to use them isn't documented very well (if at all) and I've never figured out how to do it. If you want to go down the path of editing the animation kf files yourself, start here:http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_character_animations If you don't want to edit the animations yourself or it's beyond your skill level (I have no idea what your skill level is), then you might try some of the different animation replacers out there. If you find a 2-handed automatic animation that you like but you don't like the rest of that particular mod, you can extract just the kf file for that animation and use that for your own use.
