No Vortex Uninstall Key?

I started up my vortex today and randomly got an error message stating "No Vortex Uninstall Key". It says this will cause an issue updating in the future and to reinstall Vortex. I've not had an issue with this before so a few questions. 1) What is the best way to go about reinstalling? Installing over it or uninstalling and reinstalling? and 2) Will this cause my mods to be deleted? Normally this wouldn't be an issue minus my FO4 having 170 mods and SSE having 80 mods. I obviously don't want to have to reinstall everything. =.=

Reinstall Vortex over the old installation. That will not delete your mods, as they are not in the Vortex installation folder (unless you mistakenly put them there). I have reinstalled Vortex this way with every iteration of Vortex since its alpha days, and I have not lost a single mod.
