Derok
I think Wood Elves are more inspired by Native Americans. Edited March 12, 2013 by Derok
ProfessorUltraBadass
Derok:Babylonians and indians and arbabic armor styles, with a bit of mongol (not chinese or japanese, mongol) is basicly wht the khajiits are, not the argonians. Derok
Black Marsh has ziggurats!
Tzontlimixtli
While Black Marsh and the Argonians are certainly meant to be inspired by the native Americans I'm sure there's room for artistic license, we want them to have their own style too of course! The Bosmer, I think are more based on the North Americas, while Argonians are Central/South Americas, who also built ziggurats, of a sort.
Derok
I don't see Mexican Argonians wearing ponchos calling nords gringos.
Tzontlimixtli
No, but those are more like Aztec/Mexica natives. The Argonians would probably be more like the Mayans, who'd almost disappeared when the Spanish arrived. Today they mostly live in rural areas around the forest. Imagine a crossover of them and the Tupi or the Caribs who live in the Caribbean islands, they were also experts at navigating the dense jungle and waterways and would have easily ambushed intruding Spaniards/Imperials. :P Also, we have to keep in mind the diversity of Argonian species and culture. Some are almost bestial, while others are quite refined, and their habitats vary quite a bit in the swamps. Other than that, it looks absolutely faboulous: I hope the textures do to! I was thinking more like a scarf :P Edit: Here's another tip, the legs look a bit too smooth, so try to add some small yet necessary details such as buttons and other stuff, take inspiration from some of these images maybe? http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/forum/files/ashlander_752.png http://th01.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2012/149/c/3/argonians_by_victoriadaedra-d51jsxa.jpg However, don't take that as you should edit what you previously made; That would be too much, what you already have is what I would prefer more than what's on the images, but I assure these may come in handy for inspiration and the last finished details that are small that makes the armors awesome, as maybe a bag on the side, with a small skull in, or a knife on the back of the foot (as some actually use that) Try to create details like that, those are what creates awesome armor. Tzontlimixtli
Don't worry, I'm taking as many suggestions as I can into account. ;)I'm currently in the texture wrapping stage, but that doesn't mean the model is final either. :)
Derok
I like the armor but it would look orrible on my character, he's a wanderer swordman and thief. Edited March 13, 2013 by Derok
