Guild Home - Location

Hey all, so decided to start a new project which will be a guild player home, and I would appeariate location suggestions! I cant decide what would people (you) prefer, shall it be in a major city, out in tamriel or a isolated land? design & theme of the guild home isnt set in stone "Yet" I normally get the location and build the design/theme around that. If your suggestion is tamriel or a major city please try specfiy the location.

 

Also if you have idea what you would like in a guild home feel free to share! I like to try building unique homes.

That could be very interesting. If you construct something with multiple wings, or a compound with multiple buildings, there can be a place for each "discipline," so to speak. One might be all alchemy and gardens, another all things magic, the warriors, the archers, the crafters, etc. Or, you could use something like a giant inn, and mix it all in together, like one big HQ.

Yep that is the concept I have in mind, also i made this home mod awhile back traveller's inn and alot of people liked it as a guild inn, but it wasnt really fitting for a guild hall/base w/e so gonna try blend that home into this new one. I'm just struggling with location, as I dont know what people prefer a home in a city or out in the world, and if its in the world its got to have a good view or atleast a unique view

I wound say have it not in a city so that it doesn't conflict with any city mods, make it defended, theme it around like a adventurer's guild ( a little bit of everything ) and make it work with the guild starter mod.

Yep that was my thinking, since there are so many, but I have thought of about that and I could easily make it work IF i went with a city location

If you want a central location where there's not too much going on, out in the plains north of Whiterun, within a triangle of Halted Stream Camp, Lorieus Farm, and Whitewatch, there is a small amount of ruins/debris on a hill. I don't know what mods may place things there, but the uesp skyrim map will show you where at least Creation Club locations are, if that helps.

As said, heavily depends on the type of guild... building from ground up, for true neutrality and convenience, it would be preferable somewhere in Whiterun...

Dont know what your plains are in style and such but from the little info we got here, I would suggest someting in the lines of retaking a fort and gaining control over it...


How about Fort Greymoor?



Plenty of space for improvements, well defended, center location, no big quests involved (except for Agnes), and being a fort it is plausible for any group to establish there... from farmers to warlords... from necromancers to templars... anything is fine... And you can simply add structures there or, even better, add some kind of quest to rebuild it slowly...
