Illuminated888
So I was playing Skyrim today, and I had started a new game for the trillionth time, as I have so many mods now that the save file gets really big, and causes lags. So I would start over and see if it did it again. I will probably finish the Dragonborn DLC eventually when a lich mod finally comes out for Skyrim but.. I will not hold my breath. Skyrim needs to get fresh for me again to be honest. So Oblivion.. that amazing game.. Cyrodiil oh how I have missed ye! I just bought Oblivion GOTY on Steam since all I had on disk was the vanilla Oblivion with no DLC. I just wanted to tell all of my fellow ES:4 players that you are not alone! Many of us played Morrowind as well and we have seen the ES games evolve quite a bit. I was too young to play Daggerfall but I did try that for the second time today. Too buggy to be playable to be honest. The keys get messed up. In the end I find myself going back to Oblivion. I play Morrowind from time to time as well. Skyrim is great do not get me wrong but I need a break from the snow swept land. Cyrodiil is more interesting in some ways. I also missed the quality mods in the Oblivion modding community. :( MISSED YOU GUYZ SO MUCH! Now to wait for Oblivion to DL from Steam... Edited March 6, 2013 by Illuminated888
Brittainy
Welcome home :) I have tried to revisit Skyrim a few times now, and it just doesn't have the appeal that Oblivion does for me. Haven't left Cryodiil in weeks now. For one reason or another, the quests in Oblivion just never seem to wear thin for me. Just finished the main quest and am happily raiding forts on my way to bigger things. ^_^
nenina
I agree. Oblivion is not a lesser version of Skyrim, it's Oblivion. With the people mentioning mudcrabs the other day, fruity sounding Dunmer, wacky quests such as Chorrol Painting, everyone so civilized, terrible leveling system, colorful landscape, samey dungeons, Oblivion gates, better main quest, cartoonier graphics style, tons of mods, stop-right-there-criminal-scum Oblivion. It's not a step down, but a completely different TES. Just like Morrowind is a different TES with its own set of charms. As for Daggerfall, sorry but I hated it.
