CannedBullets
Call me stupid, whatever, but I just can't figure out manual downloads. I always use the Steam workshop or Nexus Mod Manager. What do I do after I manually download Project ENB v1_7 revised? What do I do if I have Climates of Tamriel and the Realistic Lighting Overhaul? I tried moving folders from the mod to Skyrim but nothing changes so I don't think I'm doing things properly. Also ,what do the performance options mean? There's files like option C and option A and option E but I have no idea what they do. The readme doesn't make sense to me also.Could somebody please help? Explain it like you're explaining to a five year old, I just don't get manual downloads and I just wish every modder had their mods on Steam workshop or Nexus Mod Manager. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20781#content Edited March 6, 2013 by CannedBullets
Beowulf80
ENB's can't be installed via Nexus Mod Manager or Steam Workshop. Here's how you install Project ENB.....first you visit enbdev.com and look for ENB Series v0.119 for TESV Skyrim. When you're on the download page, there will be a little icon with a black arrow pointing down. Click that button to download a zip file. Extract only d3d9.dll and paste it into your Skyrim directory, the same place again. Then you copy all the files from the MAIN FILES folder for one of the CoT presets and paste it into your Skyrim folder, where the .exe is located. Now the files are installed, but you still need to open your SkyrimPrefs.ini and make sure that bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 is in there. The readme mentions a couple of more values in there that you should set, but that's the most important one. If it runs too slow then use one of those "Options". The Option E will give the best performance and the Option A will give the best quality. Copy the enbseries.ini file to your Skyrim folder and overwrite the other one, that's really all you do. Go ahead and launch your game.

korun
dl ENB dll from enbdev, use the Wrapper version, copy past only the d3d9 .dll in your Skyrim dir where Tessv.exe is. then dl Project enb, if you are using COT, there is a folder especially made for it, leave the other folder, choose which preset you want to use, copy past it in skyrim directory, merge the data folder with your'syou must tweak the SkyrimPref.ini and only this one, or it won't work properly the rest of your mods, RLO etc.. will follow and doesn't need anything performance options are preset to use depending of your rig, if it's enough powerfull to handle SSAO + DOF choose this one if not (low GPU, low RAM) choose the high performance one, it's only a ENB.ini with different tweaking@@
fiewiel
Project ENB has an easy to follow installation guide. I repost it here: - ENB Series v0.119, please download the binary files here mod_tesskyrim_v0119 and extract d3d9.dll to your Skyrim folder. (Remove the dll file and try the InjectorVersion if you have any problems with the WrapperVersion)- Download my mod and extract the files from the "main files" folder to your Skyrim folder (where TESV.exe is located), and overwrite if asked.NOTE: For the Climates Of Tamriel versions, the contents of the Data folder should be copied to your Skyrim/Data folder.NOTE: Please use the files from the "performance options" folders instead of choosing to enable/disable a feature manually. Each one has been specially tweaked to give the best result. Copy the file of your choice to your Skyrim folder (where TESV.exe is located), and overwrite if asked.- Open your SkyrimPrefs.ini file located in your "My Documents" folder and make sure these lines are set:bFloatPointRenderTarget=1bDrawLandShadows=1bTreesReceiveShadows=1iBlurDeferredShadowMask=5 (if you use "Ultra" shadows)- (Optional) The "optional effects" folder contains additional effects that provide more customization. Copy the contents of the option folder of your choice to your Skyrim folder (where TESV.exe is located), and overwrite if asked.- (Optional) You may also copy the contents of my "Data" folder to your Skyrim/Data folder. (NMM version also available)- (Optional) Download and install the mods listed in the "Recommended Mods" section.- Load your game and turn the in-game Brightness all the way down. (it could vary) There is also an uninstallation and a tweak guide. Where exactly is the problem? Edited March 6, 2013 by fiewiel
klimting
Hi there i am relatively new to using mods (i started on oblivion) and have only just discovered enb's. I have got skyrim now running at a sweet personal preference with a select few mods.i have tried installing this enb as exactly the methods described above but i really cant tell if its doing anything; when loading up my save i am struggling to see much difference between the various presets ie cinematic, fantasy, realistic etc.The only items showing up in my load order are the "eye fix" thing and the "darker dungeons for project enb"..(for the record i dont use nmm or skse or anything, i configure my load order manually in the skyrim 'Data menu'. So far all the mods i use are running fine so i dont think this should be the issue....?)am i missing something very obvious here? also as a sidenote, i have RLO applied at the bottom of my load order, and the whole game seems alot darker (night time i understand but daytime even seems very dark, even when sun is shining with no clouds). is this something to do with the enb or RLO? any advice would be greatly appreciated.thanks in advance. fiewiel
You can shift + f12 to toggle enb processing in game. If you dont see any difference the enb isnt working.(You can also use shift+return ingame to open the enbs on-the-fly configuration for more control).
