Pigpork
I was wondering if there is a mod or program or tutorial that allows me to modify the size of each bodypart of my main character/race? Since I want my orc character, and other male orcs to have thicker necks, arms and etc.
KatsAwful
Not like Skyrim. The only way to possibly do that is to use Blockhead to give only male orcs a different body
Pellape
Modifying bodies is done with 3D software like 3D Max, Blender and Maya and if you do that, you also need to edit all armors and clothes that orchs are using as every armor and cloth part also includes the body parts. It is a big project every body maker needs to get into and do.
Pigpork
Oh that sucks, I thought that I can just upscale each body part and the armor on it will upscale according too. Like for example, bigger hands means the gauntlet model on those big hands will be bigger too.
DrakeTheDragon
There's indeed been approaches towards that in the past, but due to how it works in this game it always involves a lot of work. Doing it by body meshes and as many corresponding clothing/armor replacements as possible:https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/36324 Doing it through additional scale bones inserted into the skeleton(s):https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/31955https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/37596 The latter would likely be closest to how it's done in Skyrim, if Skyrim's way wasn't even inspired by these mods perhaps (?) But all of them come with additional work and individual drawbacks, and also haven't been worked on in a long time. Nowadays with Blockhead the first approach can be done in a much more streamlined way, but automatic clothing and/or armor replacements are still quite a complex mess. Pellape
Bethesda have always been inspired by the modders as they did add stuff and solutions from the Morrowind modding community to Oblivion as one example 2006 and that is very good for sure. If I recall right, we made a list 2006 what they did borrow at Canadian Ice's forum :D Edited December 1, 2020 by Pellape
