How to add links and images to comments

I have tried all of these and nothing works.

You need to use the actual image link.  On the page with the image you tried to link, right click on the image and choose "copy image link".  Then you can paste that where you need.  As long as your link ends with the actual file name (i.e. something.png), you should be able to directly link to it.

For example:

FYI - The forum on Nexus will auto-convert any link that ends directly with an image file, there is no need to use the IMG tag.  The mod comments have an image button with a dialog pop-up and a place to paste the image link.
