thebigba
I enter and exit the cs and oblivion game many times daily... My current esp is dependant upon three other esp's that I have to esmify and espify many times.... I keep for getting to esmify after testing and there for resets my character npc to a vampire without hair or eyes :-( This isnt going to effect the cleanliness of the mod is it? exanimis
I can't imagine what is going on with your mod without a lot more info but I can tell you that nothing I make is dependant on anything other than the Oblivion esm. On the advice of LHammond, I removed all my mods and started building my mods with a clean install. I like to keep mods clean of anything else and available to anyone who owns Oblivion. I never liked reading about a mod and finding out that in order for it to work I would have to download this or that.

Well, my mod is for personal use unless requested otherwise its just a simple com-panion(simple for someone who knows what they are doing anyway , i dont lol). I cant make the face textures and body and hair textures and meshes for the companion and using the vanilla npc's is not appealing in the aspect of a female companion for a male character. So i use a new race to make the companion and there fore it has to be dependant on some other mods to have a better looking face and body. I am just hoping that by forgetting to esmify the certain esp's that i use for the mod after testing that it doesnt effect the cleanliness of the mod... I do use tes4gecko to clean it after im done but still...I am learning

You simply add the hair and eyes to either 1) your own custom race in your own mod or add the hair and eyes to the vanilla race(s) of your choosing or add the hair and eyes to all races, custom and vanilla -- But add them into the mod itself, and it won't be "dependent" on any other mod (and it shouldn't be). Once you've added your own customized race edits (hair eyes head ears tails etc etc) you won't even need any other beauty mod, it will all be handled by yours, thus no fighting with some other beauty mod during load. thebigba
Great, now I get to spend more time working on getting all the hair, face, and body textures into my mod, rather then working on getting her to fly on her akatosh, which is becoming a real pain by the way... so , now i need to figure out how to take the textures and or meshes for rens beauty pack and mystic elves and use them in my mod independently... I am lost already. though I will research now on how to do it... Lyndai can learn to fly at a later date.
LoginToDownload
To insert the Ren's meshes/textures into the game, open up the mods that already have them in the CS and look at the filepaths for the models/textures under Character/Hair and Character/Eyes. Then make a new hair item in your .esp with the same filepaths.

(with earrings, facial textures, teeth, eyelashes, etc etc) vanilla races are ugly, i use ren's mystic elves right now i like the newer textures , I suppose i could just add them to an existing vanilla race... but as ugly as they are I think i'll just create a new race with all the same textures... ren's elves start off too strong in certain aspects anyway with way too many spells added after the charactergen quest is complete. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the advice. "vanilla races are ugly"? I re-made my Redguards using the textures from the chocolate elves, remade the orsimers using a completely new head mesh, added new textures to every single race, new ears. They are not ugly, but I guess they're not truly vanilla anymore either. :) Meris is a Breton.
