kaizer0002
I've been going in circles most of the day as well. I made two starter characters with one difference. I made 2 saves of one character (literally back to back) and then 1 save of the target character and have been using WinMerge to look at all 3 of them at the same time. The idea was that I would be able to more easily tease out the difference between the file with the changes I want and the target save since two of the files should be identical (they aren't). At best, I have been able to load into my target save and fall through the world, or have exploding polygons everywhere, and this happened once, load in with the default appearance, be overburdened, and a level 1 corpo (my character is a streetrat). I'm only 20 hours in on this character.. it would probably take less time to just start over. Edited December 16, 2020 by kaizer0002
Etnojz
I imagine this will be the most downloaded mod for CP2077 when someone finally figures out how to do it lol
Valyntine
I sorely wish this was just something we could do with a simple console command.
BrianOrcus
It makes sense to me that V would have a different hair style after the lifepath prologue. Especially if they were a corpo.
Voltron89
Changing colors of skin and hairs is not that easy, nails maybe. Tried hairs yesterday, findings:1. Save loaded up, game runs ok2. Problems - char went bald. Taking off a piece of clothing (pants, shirt etc.) doesn't affect your char (took off all clothes and char stayed the same), entire body model disappeared, only head remained3. Conclusion - i had to add some bits to the save, added dots instead of previous color letters (12bits vs. 16 bits before) and something went wrong. I think color and style of hair is somewhat connected There are easier and harder parts to change. Going to try some after work.Any idea how to change "face cyberware" (the small cyber elements we can add to face during Char Creation)?

I lost connection with a character when I notice that... unfortunately, that happened after 15 hours of gameplay and I tried to live with it ever since. kaizer0002
So too many wordsI don't know if this is racist but I'm starting over after 40 hours because I accidentally chose black skin. I lost connection with a character when I notice that... unfortunately, that happened after 15 hours of gameplay and I tried to live with it ever since. Skin color is one of the easier values to find, but from what I gather that doesn't make it easy to edit since it's one of the values with a name that isn't just a number in a series (I'm fairly certain it's the value preceded by skin_type). Godspeed and good luck. Edited December 17, 2020 by kaizer0002
BlackFirePC
Anybody thinks that using CheatEngine to monitor the memory when changing values in the character creation menu could help us finding the bytes in the save file?
Voltron89
My findings: 1. Character apperance block starts with "TPP" ends with "RŠbody"2. If value is diffrent (u pasting 3 bits in place of 4), add some nulls with space or dot3. Some parts are easy to replace - like nose, mouth, ears etc. I have success with all of them4. In this data block there're every changes made to your char body, every new cyberpart visible so copy-paste wont work5. The amount of bits need to be the same after changes thus you need to fill or cut some of the bits to make it work6. I suppose you can remove a tattoo by replacing its code with nulls or creating save with no tats and coping values from there Soft: Reading Notepad++, Editing HxD //EDITWill try to change hair color, gonna update of the result.Ok, so I want to change cyberware part of my face. I have save where with what I have, so it's in HxD Ęcyberware_07Ć (CA 63 79 62 65 72 77 61 72 65 5F 30 37 C6) The cyberware I want from another save is €cyberwar¬ (80 63 79 62 65 72 77 61 72 AC) They are of different size. I tried to paste second one in first one and plce nulls (0s) in the left numbers but then save will not load at all.How to do it?
