Looking for good techno

I got hooked on German techno while living in Germany in 2000-01 and I have had the world techno bug ever since. I am currently really getting into Middle Eastern and Indian techno and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for stuff worth checking out.

By the way, if anyone was wondering, the song playing in the background of the Mt. Dew commercial featuring Steven Seagal is by Punjabi MC.

Thanks for any suggestions.

okay techno is my thing, but i am into japanese techno and j-pop (not that far apart. For techno with lyrics go Teo-Mix, not all their stuff has lyrics but alot of it does. For trance go trance control. If you have a good connection speed go DJ Doughboy, he has 2 hour long trance. If your going for ambiance go Juno Reactor. all easily found and legaly downloaded. those are just some majors, if you want more jsut ask.

I'm not really sure about what the difference between Middle Eastern and other Techno is, but the only Techno I've listened to is, Ozirc Tentacles. I really like them, and maybe you will to! That's just my thoughts on things....

Just in case you were wondering, spam isn't cool.

If you can get iTunes, get it. Then, after running, click "Radio," then "Electronica." They have Trance, House, Hard Trance, etc... Any kind of techno radio you want. Just make sure you're listening to the "Di.FM" stations. They have the best quality and music.

As for DJs/groups....

Trance Control

Paul Van Dyk

DJ Tiesto

Mark Van Dale

Fischerspooner

Daft Punk was really popular three years ago, they're french but their lyrics are english and their videos are very dynamic japanese anime. video'd tracks include (in order) One More Time, Digital Love, Aerodynamic (an instrumental), and Harder Better Faster Stronger.

you can also look into J-pop cuz some (or most I havent got that far down the rabbit hole yet) is heavy dance, and for some reason japanese chick's voices are just more pure and soft than their non-asian counterparts. for goods check Utada Hikaru - Simple and Clean (Kindgom Hearts) or Koda Kumi (Sweetbox or Jade in English) - Real Emotion (FFX2).

hope you found these useful, and I'd appreciate if anyone would point me in the direction of a few other J-pop artists with tracks (edit- please help me Hogosha Ookami), as those are the only two i know. thanx.

Seriously people it doesn't get better than Zlad!

I like this part the most:

"All systems gone

prepare for down-count

5.. 4.. 3.. 1.. OFF BLAST!"

If you can't see the true and pure beauty in these lyrics than you are not real techno fans!

I mean c'mon! It dosen't get better than this:

"The sonic sky is bright just like fire.

You and me get higher and higher.

Communications firer.

Only thing that can stop us is flat tire."

Get hooked on this elektronik revolution

here
