LHammonds
Take a look at DriveImage XML and buy an external hard drive big enough to make a backup of your OS partition. You can snapshot your OS to an image file and if the need ever arrises, you can use a boot CD (such as Bart PE) to boot your system and restore your PC from the image you created. I use it to create a master image of a cleanly configured PC and the lay that image down on other PCs so I do not have to re-configure everything. Can bit a bit tricky doing it that way due to hardware changes but restoring to the same PC that was backed up is no problem. Not only do I make image snapshots of my OS in case of a disaster, I also use a utility called SyncBack to synchronize my data file to the external hard drive so I can easily restore individual files if necessary. This is all free software by the way. ;) LHammonds
