LargeStyle Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I'm almost embarrased to ask this as I've been using CK for a long time now, but I need to ask anyway... When you first load up CK and an environment in the render window I can navigate the camera around as I want to, but when I accidentally click on an item in the render window it'll change the camera navigation system and I lose the free floating / tfc type movement control. I simply would love to know how (/if) once this happens what needs to be done / pressed to make the camera free floating style again? I'm only asking as I've just loaded everything up in CK and immediately accidently clicked on part of the scenery and my camera control is instantly messed up - and I can't be bothered reloading it all up again just to regain control over the camera again.
unuroboros Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 These two links may help: http://www.creationkit.com/Bethesda_Tutorial_Creation_Kit_Interface#Controlling_the_Camerahttp://www.creationkit.com/Creation_Kit_Keyboard_Mapping From the second link, the keyboard shortcut to "de"-select is D. :)
LargeStyle Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 Awesome - thank you! I've just experimented with it and found out that you have to deselect with "D" then press Shift+F to remove the camera anchor.
unuroboros Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Ahh, I didn't know that, thank you for the tip in return. :)
jet4571 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Whats fun is if you select something then move 3-400 meters away and then pan the camera around something else without selecting it and watch the world suddenly zip past puting you in some unknown location. yay for stupid camera anchors that dont remove themselves the second something is not selected. or was that just a bad design choice lol
