Skolhamarr
I was going through some old photo of my trip to Europe and came across some images where I was at the imperial villa of Hadrian. Got to thinking how nice it would be to see something in the hill around the Imperial City. I would not think that the emperors of TES, would be any different from the Roman ones. It just seem to me that this villa would, add more to the game. To be locked away in that tower, seem a little silly. Why would they not have place of enjoyment.... Hadrian's VillaThe villa complex was vast in scale, spreading over an area of c. 2×1 km. The central part of the palace was a traditionally structured villa, oriented on a NW.-SE. axis on the side of a hill. It included (from the NW) a garden with a elongated fountain and a view towards the valley, two buildings often identified as a Greek library and a Latin library, a large courtyard followed by the main residential part of the palace, which included a building with Doric columns. Further back was another grand court with a portico and richly adorned rooms, the so-called Golden Court (Piazza d'Oro) due to the very rich finds from there On the NE. side of the imperial palace were rooms for guests, the Hospitalia with bedrooms and a large triclinium ( formal dining). Further down the N. slope was the so-called Terrace of Tempe with a vantage point on the lower valley, the Pavilion of Tempe. To the SW. of the libraries stood a strange circular building, which is usually called the Maritime Theatre. It consisted of a colonnade around a small lake with an central island with what appears to have been a small residence. Besides this structure was a large hall, probably an audience hall, called the Hall of the Philosophers, and a bathing complex with a sun heated room, the Heliocaminus Baths, both aligned on an almost N.-S. axis. In the back, on the S. side of the building with Doric columns, stood the barracks of the guard. On the N. side of the hill, below the terrace in front of the libraries and apparently somewhat detached from the rest of the complex, stood a Greek theatre and a portico with a round Temple of Venus. it goes on... It would be architecture beauty to give this complex life again I was there, saw it with my own eye the ruins still very impressive. Even to see it some what rebuilt in oblivion would be great how might it relate to the player? the emperors are dead and the up keep is burden on the empire. So it goes up for sale.... it rather hard to find any good pictures...http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/2245331.jpghttp://lh6.ggpht.com/_pAANuzkz8kU/R065kXLqiRI/AAAAAAAAAVo/_1dy72Tb_xk/PB270003.JPG
exanimis
I think that is an excellent idea. I personally would download almost any mod that added a little of our own history to Cyrodiil, unfortunately, I doubt it will gain enough interest to get people working on it. Then there is the fact that most of us have never seen places like that and wouldn't know where to start with such a mod. There is also the "Oh my God!" factor, I have seen the Grand Canyon and I can tell you that nothing you could ever put in a video game will ever compare. Skolhamarr
I have been to a lot place around the world and what Mr Siika did with the imperial cathedral was amazing in its own right. It brought back so many memories, being in those great structures. Beside just that factor Exanimis it completed the feel of Cyrodiil it makes it more like a world, a place.... Well Exanimis yet again you might be right about this. Something so detail might not get any interest, but one liner about a sword does...I knew I should have said something about HGEC slave girl, then it might got some interest lol. You can not say I do not give detail about what I am requesting...
exanimis
one liner about a sword does...I knew I should have said something about HGEC slave girl, then it might got some interest lol. Now that's the kind of idea that will get a lot of interest, A big a$$ sword with boobs on it. Make the boobs jiggle when you swing the sword and you'd get a million downloads. myrmaad
one liner about a sword does...I knew I should have said something about HGEC slave girl, then it might got some interest lol. Now that's the kind of idea that will get a lot of interest, A big a$$ sword with boobs on it. Make the boobs jiggle when you swing the sword and you'd get a million downloads. I read it, was interested, but had nothing of interest to contribute further to it. I don't build worldspaces, and I wasn't really sure how it would fit into the Tamrielic or Nirn lore, though it looked interesting. Don't take this as a criticism, it's just my random thoughts about Nirn: I don't think we should ever automatically assume that Nirn lore is anything like earth lore. It's not Medieval Europe, after all. It's a completely different planet. That said, I still thought it was an interesting idea. Finally, I have had many thoughts about the mystery of the missing artwork of the Ayleids. No cave drawings, no tomb adorning artwork at all? Seems odd. And yet, there are all those paintbrushes seemingly so important.

QQuix
I like this idea. The mod I am working on, The Evolving Society, will (most likely) have a player home that would be build, room by room. Each room as a reward for some player achievements. The multi-building Villa concept would fit nicely. Instead of creating new rooms, I could create new buildings for the Villa and the final result would be much more impressive than a single palace building. Recreating Hadrian's Villa, with the roman architecture and all, may not be feasible/possible/easy, as it would need a lot of new meshes and textures. But creating a villa with the general roman disposition of buildings, using vanilla architecture, may well be feasible. Your description gives a good idea of it, but it would be nice if you had more info (like a blueprint). No hurry, thou. My mod wont be out this year, and I guess I wont work on the player home until much later this year.
