Habballa
Im sorry if this has been adressed before, I couldnt find anything Im starting a new game after a very long time away from skyrim,so ofcourse i installed a s#*! ton of mods to make gameplay better :)Among others is the Project Reality - Climates Of Tamriel mod, the days look great, but the nights are always impossibly dark, i can barely see 1 m in front of me even when using a torch, and i can barely see the sky.. I have tried the different lighting settings thingys, but they make no difference whatsoever :( are there any common bugs with this mod? Am I a stupid noob? :/mabye i uninstall it incorrectly? or are there some common mods that clash with this one? I think this one is the only one thats working with lighting currently, should i give you a list of all the mods im using?
LargeStyle
I've just made a set of images comparing CoTs different night settings, but even though I did this simply to post the images for your reference (to check it's the same as what you're seeing) I've basically found that although the nights are dark and vary in darkness, they seemed to be incorrectly setup in respect to the stated darkness levels. Here's what I mean... This is a completely standard (Bethesda) unmodded night: http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/1752/6vanilla.jpg The following are Climate of Tamriel pictures taken outside of Riverwood, just gone midnight, and using clear weather: Default - "default night brightness" http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/5913/1standard.jpg Level 1 - "slightly brighter nights" http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/8805/2level1.jpg Level 2 - "brighter nights" http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/7915/3level2.jpg Level 3 - "very brighter nights" http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/7583/4level3.jpg Level 4 - "very brighter nights" http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/2056/5level4.jpg So this may be an isolated circumstance as I only checked one weather type, but in this case Nights Level 4 isn't the lightest, 3 is. If you want to check / compare this yourself you can force the weather type I've used into your game via console command: Open the console using the ` button (normally near the 1 and tab buttons" and type the follwing: FW 010570F1 Ultimately if your nights don't look like this then I don't know what's going wrong, and if they do then this is simply how CoT looks. Also to note, I don't mean to be disrespectful to CoT mod author by the content within this post, I'm just answering a query and trying to be helpful. EDIT: Just to clarify - these images are not taken using ENBseries. If you happen to use an ENB preset then this will change how the nights look, so if you're using one then perhaps disable it at least for testing purposes. fiewiel
> mabye i uninstall it incorrectly? or are there some common mods that clash with this one? I think this one is the only one thats working with lighting currently, should i give you a list of all the mods im using? There are hundreds of mods out which can clash with CoT. I would try the following: put CoT at the last position of your load and disable all enbs or other mods using d3d9.dll. Start game and check if its still the same.If its the same I have no better idea. If its changed you now know the direction of your problem.
