What after 10 lvl?

I'm wearing steel armor, and some crappy steel long sword - so my major skills are heavy armor, and the long blade. From 10 lvl a lot of enemies became pretty difficult to encounter, and I can't finish some important quests.

Well, my question is - how do I get better equipment? And what would that be? :P

I've been thinking about the dwarven armor, but I'd have to loot it - and the paradox is that I won't be able to do this because of the difficulty.

So I'm stuck - can you give me some suggestions?

Have you trained Block up? if you've got the money it's well worth doing, you'll take less damage if they can't hit you. Dwarven would be an improvement, you might try sneaking around some Dwemer Ruins, saving often and hoping for the best.

Do you want to earn it legitimately, or would you take some expensive orcish gear for free if you knew where to find it in a non-owned container? There is some, but personally I'd recommend doing it the hard way, because at some point, it'll all just become too easy once you've leveled up enough anyway.

There is some orchish armor in a some crates in caldera in garok manor were creeper is. But its medium armor so you can sell it to creeper for money

and for weapons try a steel katana it is stronger than a steel long sword.

There are any number of ways to get decent armor and weapons, 1 way i can think of to get a daedric weapon right out of the gate, well sort of.

2 words: Vassir Didanat

And to this end, you may want to look into the Mod called Morrowind Crafting. only thing is i don't know if it's still available.

Isn't Orcish Medium Armor?

Steel equipments are just heavy, and... just that  What else can I say...? I think steel armors won't go higher than 60 in armor rating, even if your heavy armor skill is at level 100 (I think, coz I already forgot the exact value. Never use it anyway), unless of course you modified the rating using CS. And steel longsword is even worse, you can hack a golden saint all day without making any damage at all to her... You need at least Silver blade. But spare the decent blades, it's not as hard to find as decent armors.

See, heavy melee isn't really my type here. But I know there are some good heavy armors out there. And I can tell you this; most of them aren't at trader's inventory at all.

Your best bet if you really wanna keep your heavy melee character, my suggestion is; level ups your character and stay away from troubles during that time. And after that, go hunt for the armors yourself. For example; you can find a legendary Dragonbone Cuirass at the Lost Dwemer Checkpoint in some grotto near Vivec. There are also a pair of gauntlets at some caves, but it guarded by a Dagoth. And also a tower legendary shield and a legendary heavy boots at some Daedric ruins. But that's all that I can recall. For other parts, like helm, pauldrons, and greaves, you have to depend on Ebony.

If you also have Tribunal installed, High Ordinator's armors also can be a good choice. They're heavy. The best thing from Tribunal is you can have a full set of an Almalexia's Hand armor there (and you will, no matter what, after killing the owner :P )

Last but not least; blades. Daedric is the best. But they don't come cheap and/or free. Either steal it whenever you find them, or kill the owners. I usually running in and out of certain tombs to acquire Daedric weaponries. Kill the Daedras inside, remove the corpses, getting out of the tomb, and re-enter, until find a suitable weapon for my character. Uh well, fighting Daedras are good for your character fighting skill developments, but obviously not for a character level 10. That's why I'm telling you to level ups your character

And for your note, in case you haven't notice it yet; if my memory serve me well; Orcish armor is medium armor, not heavy.

Hope this can help you

Oh yeah, level scaling does make things pretty tough in the mid-range. If you don't have the gold to buy nice equipment from the stores, I'd recommend alchemy. Even without any of the secrets, using just novice equipment, it'll eventually be a pretty good source of gold. You'll also need this money to train some of your more important skills. Even better, some of the potions you should hold onto if they benefit your heavy melee character. Like sanctuary or fortify or restore, etc.

Speaking of these effects, definitely buy and loot Sujamma wherever you see it. Fortifies your Strength by ungodly amounts (50pts), and drains your Intelligence, which your character won't need. Matze has a similar effect, and that helps too. Still not as good as Sujamma though.
