two incompatible plugin pairs

Hi,

I've been playing for a several weeks with a plugin "incompatibility" issue.

I haven't experienced many "bad" problems (although I have been having increased periodic CTDs and game startup can be a bit sketchy - often takes several attempts to successfully load a save - which might be associated)

the plugin pairs are los-ii tamriel master lights & RLO-Exteriors and wm flora fixes & Brutal Flora Harvest Fix

So.... I'm wondering if there is any way to resolve the situation with either (or both) without resorting to uninstalling contentions (ie uninstalling wm flora fixes or Brutal flora Harvest Fix, and correspondingly either lRLO-Exteriors or LoS.

It's possible (maybe even likely) I don't need both of the flora fix mods, but RLO and LoS both bring something "special" and I'd rather not remove either if possible.

ideas?

The lighting mods likely aren't causing any stability issues. In my experience, the worst that happens when you have two conflicting lighting overhauls is you sometimes end up with weird shadows and oddly flickering lights. I imagine it would be possible to create a compatibility patch between the two, but I've never tried making one for lighting mods, so I can't say how easy that would be.

The flora fixes on the other hand both appear to use scripting to control how often plants respawn, which could conceivably cause issues with your save game if they both start fighting to change the same thing. WM's Flora Fixes adds some new meshes in addition to the spawn fix scripting, whereas Brutal Flora Harvest Fix looks like it is just the scripting for the respawn so, if it were me, I'd decide which one I liked better and get rid of the other. Of course, ditching a scripted mod mid-game is a bad idea, so if you can live with it until you are ready to start over, that may be the best way.

Thanks for the reply and info. I was afraid flora respawn and Brutal might be the issue. Yeah, I'd just as soon run WM flora fixes alone, but it fails to maintain respawn in several locations, which is why I installed the "Brutal" respawn mod. I guess I'll have to consider dumping flora respawn, improved meshes or not.

I can live with a few visual glitches wrt LoS and RLO as long as they're not causing stability issues.
