rawr22
An FPS counter just appeared in the top left of my screen and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. I did not install or change anything, I can only assume it must be a hotkey added by something I pressed accidently, but cant figure out what. I use SkyUI, iHUD, and ENB but despite searching, can't find any FPS options in any of them. I don't know what is adding it or how to get rid of it. Can anyone tell me what mod adds the fps counter? LargeStyle
If it's ENB then press the * button (shift+8) to remove it.
rawr22
Thanks for the info LargeStyle. I launched Skyrim to try this and the counter has now disappeared of its own accord. I obviously did try restarting the game several times prior which had no effect. I'll remember the key combination incase it comes back later, it is entirly feesible I crouched to sneak and removed a torch at the same time, shift + 8. Oddly enough I just tested this and it does not turn the counter back on.
ArtMurder
I was gonna suggestion you accidentally left fraps up in the background, but I guess not.

But I also just installed ENB and got annoyed at that FPS counter. It is indeed ENB that causes a small white counter top-left and if people like me, wants to use Numerical * (asterisk) for something else, in my case FRAPS recording ON/OFF, go to skyrim install folder, locate the file enblocal.ini, open it with notepad or any text editor. Find the section with this stuff: [iNPUT]//shiftKeyCombination=16//f12KeyUseEffect=123//homeKeyFPSLimit=36//num / 106KeyShowFPS=106//print screenKeyScreenshot=44//enterKeyEditor=13//f4KeyFreeVRAM=115 I added brackets at the two lines binding the * key to showFPS [//num / 106][KeyShowFPS=106] and then saved it.No more FPS counter when I hit NUM *
XunAmarox
Commenting them out either with brackets or a double slash didn't turn it off for me. I had to hit shift+enter in-game and then open the +INPUT thing and manually set it to 0 for disabled then save the config and refresh. After I did that I now my thing looks like this: [INPUT] //shift KeyCombination=16 //f12 KeyUseEffect=0 //home KeyFPSLimit=0 KeyShowFPS=0 KeyScreenshot=0 KeyEditor=13 KeyFreeVRAM=115 //num / 106 KeyShowFPS=106 //f11 KeyScreenshot=122 //enter KeyEditor=13 //not assigned KeyFreeVRAM=0I disabled the screenshots and FPS in-game. Al3xN3xus
This happened to me just now  , but in my case was that I forgot the game booster minimized in the system tray. And I thought it was some information in the .ini file of ENB. I was getting angry with that little yellow number. It is always good to check if there is no external applications controlling those values such as video cards programs.
Infinityseed
I'm here to necro the necros. I just experienced this after my cat walked across my keyboard. Thanks to this post, my solution was to hit num 8. Ha!
