I'm doing a Tech class ISU, so I decided I would briefly research various candidates for the title of the next "Great Technological Breakthrough". Does anyone feel like suggesting something? (Other than the LHC?)

Wireless computer interface implanted in a person's skull. No power sourse...it would run off the energy the body emits. No monitor since all images would be directly in the brain. Hey, you said "great"....

Current popular rumor suggests that Obama may reverse the bans Bush enacted on Stem Cell research, so we could possibly see some major breakthroughs in the field of medicine within the next four years.

Yeah, perhaps we can even give Bush a brain upgrade so he can finally be on a par with chimps.

Now THAT would be a technological break-through.

Personally, I wish they'd hurry up with matter transportation so I can go home to England a lot easier. :)

Really? Now that's a breakthrough. Much better than my idea.

First of all, I'd like to thank you all for your suggestions. They were good, and helped me a bit in class today. So, I'd like to throw "Quantum Computing" into the mix. Our modern computers run off the binary system, where a bit can be one or zero. In Quantum Computing, a qubit can equal one and zero at the same time. This will allow for crazy processing power.
