Bart95 Posted March 15, 2013 Share Posted March 15, 2013 Now we all know that TES actually handles female armour a lot better than most games, but as it turns out, having any curves on your breastplate (In this case, breast shaped buldges) would cause the metal to bend INWARDS on impact due to that shape and thus badly injure or even kill the wearer if it goes deep enough. (Metal>Bones folks) This is inspired by an old blog I saw aaaaages ago detailing the exact reason why even just having breast shapes in armour is a bad idea. In a world like TES I want to have everything be believable and functional, so I have to ask is there a possible way to swap out all the female chest pieces (bar fur and leather) for actual...well, functional breastplates? I imagine you could just slap the male model on as a shortcut though, it's not uncommon for female warriors throughout history to bind their breasts down to actually make armour more comfortable. I know a few pieces were already released but I can't for the life of me forget what it was called or who the author was. I get the idea of sex appeal, but in a functional and practical world I expect the armour of all characters to reflect that, at least, mostly. I actually thought she had some up on nexus but it seems I saw only screenshots and the actual works are still W.i.ps and betas. I hate, HATE, the fact that people think it's cool, or even enjoy, running around as a super skank, softcore porn anime character. Firstly, THIS IS SKYRIM FFS, and secondly functionality and practicality are where it's at. Personally I wish all the skimpy mods were abolished, it's annoying seeing that crap when you're trying to find something good.Enough rant though, I very much support this idea. Mind, if I put my characters in skankier attire I'd probably have more endorsements on my screenshots, but currently I'm playing to play and not be a big name screenshot maker. So as long as I'm playing, I want some coverage. I don't think skimpy mods need be abolished, but I do wish they had their own category here. It would make it easier to find the other stuff.
