How do I find the object ID for weapons in mods? (for player.additem c

Sometimes mods have weapons or items that you can find in one place or other, but since you only have one of them you can't repair it. With Oblivion I'd use the construction set and load the mods together to find out what object ID to use for the player.additem cheat, but there doesn't seem to be an equivalent for fallout 3.

Anyone knows of a solution? Thanks

G.E.C.K. tells you. it's all there.

what i dont get, is what those ID's that popup when you aim at poo are for, sinse you can only trevel to them, but can't spawn a copy with placeatme&

When you select something in the console it gives you the id of that instance of the object not the object id.

In the G.E.C.K. the form id can be found in the object window list (sometimes the coulomb is contracted so thin you cant see it, there should be a very thin one, make it wider and there it is)

not all ids work however

some are random harrharr... (those starting with 01 should be)

if you use F3MM to edit the items id it wil garantee to spawn with that number in you inventory.

but its down to the modder to change it or else its default generated geck id will forever be lost in the Fallout 3 universe.

actually i used the 01 ids in my pre geck and thus FOMM mods resulting in random ids lol

choosing them yourself really becomes irritating after the 20th item at least... and offers just to many conflict potentials

but if you loaded up the geck anyway i suggest to just add your new weapons to some repairlists

i leave the first two zeros. i think if you change them or one of them f3 still randomises it.

i use 00f*****

Someone's gotta know right? I mean I can't make sense of what's above... I'm trying to player.additem an armored vest I've downloaded, but can't find its ObjectID in Geck....

vertikal,

Drop the item and open the console. Type GBO and left click on the item and press enter. The Base ID will be displayed. This is the code to use for player.additem. Don't forget you have to designate the amount and condition you want. For instance, to add a Sydney's 10mm "Ultra" SMG in 100% condition, you would type: player.additem 0006e7cc 1 100.
