AleCuneo
I have not yet completed Dawnguard but am keen to get Dragonborn. If I do so, will I be able to play Dragonborn when I have finished Dawnguard using my regular character or will it be necessary to start a new game? Amphibian
Yes you will. They do not interfere in each other.Of course if, you want to start a new game just for Dragonborn, feel free. Edited March 16, 2013 by Amphibian
AleCuneo
But if I stay in my original game (I have never started another one), will I be able to play Dragonborn straight after completing the Dawnguard quest? I suppose the thing that is confusing me is how to start the Dragonborn quest if I am not starting a new game?
MightyZ0G
the DB quest will be triggered at some point after installation regardless of which quests have been completed (although I suspect that it won't trigger until after you first go to Whiterun).but not to worry, the quest will start and can be completed at any time
neiljwd
im level 52 and not visited the greybeards yet. new game with the dragonborn dlc, still nothing. so i figured its triggered by main quest progression.
raymondNZdnd
I was level 58, completed both the main quest and Dawnguard. After installing DragonBorn, I made immediately for the boat to go to Solstheim where I enjoyed exploring about three quarters of the island before the main DragonBorn quest began. On the other hand, my son was initiated into the main quest as soon as he restarted his game.
