chucksteel
Can anyone point me to a really good tutorial on using the Photoshop .dds Plug-in? I have always just used GIMP for .dds conversions because I only had Photoshop on my mac. I recently upgraded my photoshop to Adobe's subscription based system and, now have access to the PC version and the .dds plug-in. I've tried to mess around with it but, haven't had much luck with it yet. A really good tutorial would be helpful. thanks in advance for any help, chuck
rickerhk
I'm not much of a help with Photoshop, but Paint.net works with DDS files natively and very well - and can save as all the different dds formats, etc.http://www.getpaint.net/download.html#download

chucksteel
yep I had the plug-in but am a mac guy and got the new creative cloud which allowed me to have both mac and pc copies of Photoshop. I thought it was going to be much more complicated then it was. I'm still trying to figure out how to do normal maps properly but it's woking well. thanks
