thebigba
you can Ctrl+Alt+delete to open task manager and stop process on ctfmon the next time you reboot ctfmon will be back up so its no big deal unless you need to use office while playing oblivion :-) I just wanted to add a note... if you have bought the official dlc upgrades from bethesda and have uninstalled them at some point... I have found in order to use the installers they came with you will have to stop process on ctfom.exe in order to use the installer for them again. I had contacted bethesda when after purchasing quite a few of thier plugins shivering isles ,non, thieves den, battlehorn, etc... etc... and then i had a fatal problem with oblivion i had to uninstall everything completely and i couldn't get the official dlc's to load... and this is the same answer they gave me... to stop process on ctfmon. jaysus
lol just turn the nasty lil *censored* off... ctrl+alt+del - go to processesor if you dont need it at all: start - execute - enter: msconfig - go to the bootup dialogue and deactivate the checkmark thebiga meant that virii often did hide inside ctfmon
bben46
Sometimes a virus disguises itself as ctfmon. so disabling or removing it will not allow you to get a virus. And it may remove a virus that is already there. Unless you use one of the functions it is designed to work with, it will not hurt to remove it.
